Delicious food, amazing service
Good food. Moderately priced. Service is quick and good. Warmly lit. The tea is great. Great place for a long uninterrupted conversation and good food.
Holy airball. My cat can do better. Worst place to go to. Everything was absolute trash. Raw. Do not go here unless you want to shit your pants on the way out. Also the chili oil is so TRASH it makes me mad.
Great dim sum experience with great food and tea included.
Charged me the wrong bill then asked me for money, dumplings were very mid, it was very hot inside and service was not great
Great food, quick and friendly service... definitely would return 👌😁👍
Best experience here. Don’t usually like Chinese food but the flavours were wonderful and our server Paul was amazing. Went above and beyond. So kind and polite. I wanted to keep a beer can as I collect them so he went and got an empty one in the back for me. So humble and attentive. All the servers were amazing.
On a cold and wet midday, we stumbled upon mothers dumplings. Far from our own mothers we knew we needed to try this place out. We were sat by the windows, and while we looked out on Spadina, we sipped the complimentary tea. Though the table was sticky the atmosphere was welcoming and the service speedy. Our food of choice was the Mapo Tofu (which we were told needed rice, so that as well) and the mushroom bok Choi dumplings. Both were yummy, and was a fair amount of food for the both of us. The prices were on the less expensive end, only 10-15 though if you were to get a lot to share it would add up quickly. We whole heartedly recommend this restaurant to any wet lovers missing their mothers ❤️

Friendly place with several great vegan-friendly options on the menu, and knowledgeable staff.
An absolute must visit. Some of the best dumplings in the city.

My dad lived in Toronto for about 15 years and every time I flew out there to visit him, the one demand I made of him and my stepmother was that we go to Mother's Dumplings. Absolutely amazing food, a constant flow of tea and just a fun little place to sit and eat in. Any time I talk to someone who mentions they are going to Toronto I make them promise me that they will go to Mother's Dumplings. As far as I am concerned, this is the best restaurant in Toronto, possibly all of Canada. I cannot tell you how many times I've looked at flights to Toronto with the intent to stay one night and just eat my fill of dumplings. I will never love another dumpling place like I love Mother's Dumplings.

Stumbled upon this restaurant and it was overall tasty. Next time I’ll take more of the steamed dumplings over the boiled. Quick Service and social atmosphere. Enjoyed the time and can’t wait to try different dishes in the future!
