I rarely write reviews but really have to for this place. Great food (and I've been to South Africa - the food was really great!). Great vibes, incredible staff. It was my 55 birthday, but don't look at this as a mature crowd thing. Later it was packed with younger folks but the vibes are so good no awkwardness. I have recommended to my adult children to go with their people. I must give a shout out to the bartender from Pickering, Keon our waiter and the hostess...
SOOO close the getting full stars... The music and general atmosphere was great, but the lighting at and around the bar was pretty bad. The rest of the restaurant has nice, warm lighting... But the bar has cold white, almost florescent lighting that feels like a laundry mat. Ekkk.. It killed the intimate vibe and our interest in dancing on the (empty) dance floor, so we went down the street to The Little Jerry and the difference in ambiance was massive.
