Over the Christmas season we visited this little gem-hole in the wall walking (and snacking) from Downtown through Chinatown on the way to Kensington Market and Little Italy. A walk I highly suggest for those seeking food and shop options away from the core. It is just east of Chinatown amongst other Asian establishments and we ventured in funny enough based on positive Google reviews-the reviews are accurate. EXCELLENT value is an understatement, a neighboring table helped us choose from a somewhat complicated ordering process and we also viewed food coming out to help with our selections. We had the pies and dumplings but I encourage you to try a little of everything with these prices! This is a must return for me next time I am in this part of TO.

As a Singaporean Chinese eating the food there, this place hits so good 😋 the pan fried bun was done really nicely along with the braised lu rou fan and pig intestines.

This place felt like a very warm hug on a freezing cold night! Servers and cooks were kind and welcoming, and the food just kept on impressing. We got the pan fried buns, seaweed egg drop soup, fried dough sticks, and a mix of pan fried/steamed dumplings. Would skip out on the braised beef noodle soup only because it’s better to save your appetite for everything else! Will certainly come again whenever I’m in the area and in need of a comforting meal.

The price is so attracting with such tasting food. It’s really hard to find a place priced like this when all the restaurants are doubling their price.

I had a very disappointing experience with the checkout process at this restaurant today. When I went to pay, the staff didn't let me review the bill beforehand and directly entered the amount into the payment machine. I noticed that the amount didn't match what I had ordered, so I informed the staff. Instead of addressing the issue politely, they impatiently printed out a receipt, slammed it on the table, and said, “Check it yourself.”

Upon reviewing the receipt, I found that it wasn't mine—the items and table number were incorrect. After I pointed this out again, they finally provided the correct receipt. I was shocked by their attitude, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable and distrustful. A restaurant should prioritize providing a pleasant experience for its customers, but this level of service was unacceptable. I hope the management addresses this issue and improves their staff's attitude to prevent other customers from facing similar unpleasant experiences.

I was very disappointed with my checkout experience at this restaurant today. When I went to the counter to check out, the clerk entered the amount directly into the checkout machine without letting me check the contents of the bill. I proactively discovered that the amount did not match the actual meal I ordered. After informing the waiter, he quickly printed a receipt impatiently, put it on the table with force, and said, "See for yourself."

After checking, I found that the receipt was indeed not mine, and the meal and seat numbers were incorrect. After I told him again, he replaced it with the correct receipt. This attitude made me feel very uncomfortable and distrustful of the quality of the service. As a restaurant, we should focus on the customer's dining experience, but this time the service was really disappointing. Hope the staff's service attitude can be improved to avoid other customers having similar bad experiences.

Love the food. The dishes are reasonably priced and nicely proportioned, so can order multiple items even with two ppl

Pan-fried buns are just fried buns on the bottom
Chaos also uses the same stuffing as buns, and it doesn’t taste like Chaos at all.

The girl at the front desk who charged me felt that the boss had delayed wages and was very unhappy.

There is no comparison between the pan-fried buns and other restaurants.

I love this place, whenever I’m close by I stop to get some baos, and pork/beef patties.

I walked in last night and ordered the braised pork baos (usually sold out) and the braised beef noodle soup, both were very tasty as usual and made with motherly love! Before I left I ordered two more portions of baos to take home and it came in the cutest reusable bag I’ve ever seen!! Love you Mom!

Good food. Good price. Good location. Hard to find places like this nearby. Store is small though so seating is limited. I'll be back!
