I’ve tried many well-known spots both in and outside the country, but nothing comes close to this! “The decoration is humble and simple, the host was extremely friendly and attentive, but let’s talk about the food… the food was perfect! We love Persian food and found this place accidentally. The wing was one of the best wings I’ve had in Toronto. The koobideh and chenje were wonderfully cooked but tender. The rice was a well prepared Persian rice (not Indian or Asian rice) we are glad we found a new go to place.

“The food is so yummy, try the lamb! the cocktails very unique and tasty, and the staff is lovely and helpful. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend. There was a situation where one of the other customers was not happy, she was horrible, she yelled, was rude and she called the staff racist names, I was so impressed with how the staff handled it. They continued to be polite, professional and stayed calm. I did not but that's a story for another time. 😀“

“Our first time ordering from Sumac. The line up was almost out the door but we only waited about 15 minutes to get our food. Well worth the wait. My wife ordered the Mixed shawarma plate and I ordered the Mixed kebab plate. Lots of flavour on all the food items included and hefty portions too. We will definitely come back to try other items on their menu.

We came when the sun just gone down and it was in the middle of Ramadan. Lots of hungry people and this place was packed.“
