Good service, nice atmosphere. Staff seem to make a big deal about all the food which is nicely presented but mediocre. The bread and butter selection were the best thing. Steak was ok, duck was ok, crudo dish was tasteless. Simple sliced tomatoes were tastiest thing on menu. Nothing very exciting about the food, style over substance.

Came here for my birthday celebration and was super excited. However the food unfortunately fell short of expectations.

We ordered bacon appetizer, lobster pasta, palace prime rib cut, potatoes and chocolate cake to finish.

The bacon appetizer was decent but nothing special. The lobster pasta was good but nothing outstanding.

The palace prime rib was the dish that fell out of my expectation due to that’s what they are known for. The prime rib was chewy and hard to cut through and on top of that there was a hair that as on it. We flagged our server and she was kind, apologized and offered to remake it. Unfortunately we were no longer interested in getting a new one so they were kind enough to take it off the bill.

Lastly the dessert, it looked really good when i saw it from another person who ordered. However the cake was a little too dry for my liking.

Visited PSP for an anniversary dinner.

Let me start by saying that the anticipation was extremely high for this place.

The aesthetics and vibes in the place are top notch. You have to visit the bathroom tucked away in the corner!

For starters we ordered cocktails, the steak tartare, (which was delicious, the milk bread was the star) and the Sicilian Crudo, which was good, the fish was extremely fresh but the dish was missing something, salt? Weird.

For our main, we shared the 12oz Prime Rib, the palace potatoes and the seasonal squash.

Listen, everything was delicious, the prime rib was on point, the potatoes were fantastic. The squash was nothing to write home about.

However, I did finish the meal feeling let down.

For the price point we were expecting to be blown away, which we were not. Maybe we ordered the wrong items, maybe our anticipation got the better of us, or maybe this place is a little over hyped.

Our server was fantastic, she was personable, attentive and provided us with complimentary ice cream and a slice of chocolate cake to take home! (The chocolate cake was the best chocolate cake I have tasted)

At the end of the day, I am not sure if I would go back. The food was good, but for the price there are many other high end restaurants I would visit before returning.

I’m one whole year late doing this but I’ll keep it really simple; if you want to flex once on yourself, or others in your life, safe bet you’re going to really enjoy this experience with Matty’s approach to fine dining.

Service was some fancy, Batman sort of vibe; you felt appreciated but they also respected your space and who you’re there with. :)

There were a fair bit of people there having a wonderful and nice time. Evident to say this place holds up in terms of calm but respectful in terms of tone and maturity, and that’s something I can respect genuinely for the atmosphere.

The FOOOOOOOD
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
I cannot say I ate everything off the menu, but I would be lying when I say I didn’t not try to eat at least one or two entrees, apps, desserts, drinks that I split with my partner. Full confidence there was nothing missing in the flavour aspect of food.

Provided the service was right, the atmosphere was wholesome, which in turn lead to the food having a different form of appreciation; I’d like to say this was a great experience when I was looking for a special, genuine one off experience that’ll leave you content.100% this place is great if you haven’t tried it. I’ve lived in Toronto / North York all my life, this is nice to have something like this in the city.

I had high hopes for this restaurant after seeing all the online buzz, but it ended up being one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had in Toronto.

The food was average at best and nowhere near worth the $500 bill we racked up for just four dishes and 2 drinks. That’s beyond excessive, even for this city.

To make things worse, the table beside us tried to order the prime roast only to be told it was already sold out (less than two hours into dinner service). The atmosphere was equally underwhelming: stiff, awkward, and far from welcoming. For the price point, this place falls way short.

We stumbled into a gorgeous dinner at Prime Seafood Palace on Thursday evening. The setback from the street makes it a bit of a hidden gem, and I was so lucky that Daniel from the restaurant gave me a tour. Their patio is a lovely open courtyard with just four two-top tables, plants, and a fire pit that created a beautiful setting for Myra and I for dinner. The inside dining rooms were also beautiful. Dinner was gorgeous as well. Altogether a magical experience to start our long weekend in Toronto.

My favourite was the lobster and spaghetti, and everything else was excellent.

Hands down one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had this (if not the best). The staff was super kind and went WAY above and beyond to make us comfortable and enjoy our time. I have a seafood allergy and everyone was attentive to making sure I wasn’t ever at risk. I felt very taken care of. Everything we had was super tasty and cooked to perfection. Overall maybe a bit salty for my taste but I would gladly eat here again. Obviously the prime rib was a highlight and the caviar dish was perfect. The only regret is not being able to order more food AND that I made a mistake on the payment machine and would have GLADLY tipped more. (Sorry)

I had the pleasure of going here for my birthday. The staff was absolutely amazing! Our server/bartender was Mollie and she lead us through an amazing experience. From the cocktails to every food option on the menu she took care of us. I was looking forward to a great night but somehow they took it to another level. I can't express how happy I was to pick this place for my birthday meal! I wish I didn't live in saskatchewan I would come here for every special occasion! Thank you!

Brit (Bri) was the star of the show, incredible server (almost a disservice to call her that, we made a friend). Made us feel more than welcome. Incredibly attentive, funny, charismatic. Food was incredible. Actually blew us away, from all of the top performers in the City. My personal favourite restaurant in Toronto. The staff is non-pretentious. Food comes first, no gimmicks or BS. Had the privilege to watch the kitchen staff work from our table. Incredibly well oiled machine, no fuss, quiet, and respectful. Everyone knew their roles, no yelling or over the top theatrics. Chefs and staff were incredibly locked in. Real people, real food. Minimum 2 star Michelin if they ever do their due diligence and rate this spot. They build a relationship with with their clients, off menu items - over and above expected service, incredible attention to detail. This is a number one for me.

The service was truly something to write home about. Brit singing our table happy birthday was the icing on the cake, made the night one to remember.

Phenomenal service, staff, and food! We came here to celebrate our anniversary. I usually like knowing what I’m getting into, but the “Trust Me” menu knocked it out of the park. Our server Daniel was incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating to my Celiac dietary needs. It was one of those meals that makes you immediately start planning your return.
A lot of reviews will mention the price point, and honestly, I find it funny that people willingly place a reservation for a fine dining restaurant, enjoy the food, and then gripe about the price online. You knew it wasn’t going to be cheap when you chose a place like this. Matty has publicly expressed his commitment to breaking the cycle of exploitation common in the restaurant world—where chefs are often expected to work 12-hour days for minimum wage, without overtime, and with little regard for their well-being. This place is doing things differently. It values its team, respects their time, and proves that you can serve exceptional food without burning out the people who make it. The difference shows on the plate and you can feel it in the experience.

Really caught me off guard.
I expected a good meal with decent service. I did not expect to have one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in Toronto. Lucas, our server, was as good as they come. Friendly, knowledgeable and really went the extra mile for our group. Lots of complimentary little extras (sauce, icecream, digestifs). Made us feel truly welcome. Set us up after dinner at their patio outside with a nice fire to enjoy more drinks and conversation. Made sure we had ample coverage from the rain and comfortable seating.

The 30oz prime rib special they slow cook then open flame crisp was unbelievable. We had to order a second octopus app - it was that good. The turnips cakes, palace potatoes, Sicilian crudo, Yorkshire pudding, horseradish, cabbage - all were dynamite.

At first glance - the menu looks pricey - but as a group 6-8 people - the family style servings make for an affordable night. 6 of us feasted - with two drinks each - and it was just over $200 each. For the quality of food and service we received - it was a bargain. We left full and very pleased with the whole experience.

I will be back :)

The service was friendly and on point. The food, especially their creative take on a Caesar salad, was fantastic. I would give 4.8 stars if I could. Deducting a 0.2 for the lack of leg room at the table. I (very gauche, I know) am fidgety and need to be able to cross my legs under a table and I couldn't do that. It seemed that the areas against the wall had much more leg room though so next time I will reserve one of those.
