The food was good But no way worth the price of admission. Don't drink the CoolAid. this place is way over priced. I think the waiter felt awkward when he placed the small than appetizer portion of lobster pasta $50 bucks! on our table. but Don't get me wrong all the flavours were great. I know food is expensive and I don't mind spending the money, but I think your just paying for fame here. so sad.

Mediocre fare, except for the marvelous lobster pasta (A+++). Serivice was exceptional. Atmosphere was decent.
A wonderfully pretentious place to say you've experienced.

the highlight of my night was the scented le labo candle in the bathroom.
when the salad arrived it felt like it was delivered from longos via uber eats by foot and then ran through the kitchen sink.
tables should be thoroughly cleaned after the previous plates are whisked away. check in on guests to see if they need water more, i shouldn't be dehydrated and waiting or asking for more water, aspire to developing some sense of telekinesis or awareness, that would be useful.
šÆšÆšÆ out of 5 stars.

Overall this place is overpriced for the food quality, taste & creativity. Our server (Kevin) & the host seem to be low key obnoxious for no reason. Both have some attitude. The dining atmosphere was nice but you can splurge at a lot of other places for a better price/quality ratio 100%.

The Valentines Day menu was rather disappointing given the price of the menu.
Here for the Valentineās Day menu. Food is mediocre at best; nothing stands out
I really wanted to love Prime Seafood Palace, being a fan of Matty Matheson, but the experience was surprisingly underwhelming, especially for the price. The ambiance was beautiful, and the maĆ®tre dā was wonderful, but the food and general service fell flatāfar from what I expected from such a high-profile spot.
Three main issues colored our experience. First, six items we ordered were unavailable, including drinks, the bread plate, prime rib, and duck. I understand a popular dish selling out, but this was odd and off putting. Second, while our waiter was prompt, he was not welcoming and lacked knowledge of the menu and couldnāt offer informed suggestions, which was disappointing.
Lastly, the food itself lacked the wow factor and depth of flavor youād expect at this price point. In all fairness, the celery root app was delicious! Deep, sumptuous flavour. But, I will say that the steak we had was aggressively mediocre. Perfectly cooked medium rare, but lacked much flavour at all, which is egregious for the price.
For the same costāor lessāyouāre better off going to Alo, Canoe, or Scaramouche, where both the food and service are unquestionably better. Iāve already steered friends away from Prime Seafood Palace and strongly recommend you reconsider if youāre thinking of dining here. Itās simply not worth the hype.

I had high expectations coming here for a quick bite but unfortunately was a bit disappointed. The place was nice but I feel like the server did not pay much attention to us. When we ordered a steak, he did not ask us how we would like it cooked. He did not show us the steak before cooking like this restaurant usually does. He did not give us steak knives until we were half done (see in picture). The steak came partially burnt on the outside for some pieces.
However I enjoyed the atmosphere and some of the other foods I ordered. But I donāt think I would come here again anytime soon.

Very limited seafood choice why you call yourself seafood palace. Also i felt the waiter is racist to asian.

Food was quite mid. Palace potatoes, palace bacon and spicy crab were fine. Lobster pasta and shrimp cocktail were definitely overrated. Pricing was expected. Our waiter came off as quite pretentious but the bus boy and the guy delivering the food were both top tier. The cocktails were great and ambience/vibe/aesthetic were also excellent.

Went here for our engagement dinner and was thoroughly disappointed. Although the food was good, it was not worth the money or the atmosphere. There was pretty much no service or attention to taking care of the people wanting to dine there. No smiles or genuine interest to understand our needs. Felt like people were being forced to work there. Unless you know someone there or are an influencer, donāt waste your time or money here. So many better locals spots in Toronto for great food and service.

We had reservations for two seats at the bar but were called and told they have a table for us for the same time, 8:30pm. We arrive on time and were told that our table would be ready for 15-20 minutes and to take a seat at the bar. Upgrade downgradeā¦thanks Prime Seafood Palace! No offer for a complimentary bevvie due to their screw up. Just a very extensive and expensive wine list! Why would you offer me a table (the timing of availability is dictated by the service pace not the guests) and when itās not ready for my reservationā¦that you offered me, relegate me back to the bar with no comps?! Service fail! $40 for a 5oz glass of wine and watching the sad old dude next to us chow down on $150 fatty prime rib slab at a bar, cutting his meat like Gordon Howe battling for a puck in the corners?! No thanks! Ever heard of under promise and over deliver? Prime Seafood Palace over promised and grossly under delivered!
I gave my feedback to the front of house and the manager and we left. They didnāt seem to care and the manager tried the age old excuse āit was a busyā¦ā. Ah no, donāt bother with that when you charge Michelin star pricesā¦with no Michelin stars! And this was your service screw up.
Bad taste for Mattyās restaurants if this is the ādining experienceā.

Prime Seafood Palace is good, but grossly overpriced. Also, for a place with seafood in its name, thereās more steak than fish.
Additionally, for the prices one would assume better quality servers, however, ours was more concerned with pushing expensive steak on us than actually bringing us our drinks/food.

Food was very underwhelming and thus extremely overpriced. Service was HORRIBLE. It took our party of 5 three and a half hours from sitting down to getting the bill despite finishing each course quickly (we didn't even get our mains until over 2 hours into the meal, we were so hungry by that time). Empty wine glasses waiting and empty drinks. Even after complaining about the slow pace they still took almost 30 minutes to cash out our bill. Very disappointing experience for $800.

Please DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!! this was such an over rated restaurant...I think it's honestly running on the reputation of Matty Matheson who obviously has too many restaurants to keep tabs on quality.... the staff is mediocre at best.... you'd get a much better meal at the keg and the staff would be more welcoming....honestly such a fail in this world of over priced experiences...I personally don't mind spending the $ if the food and staff are amazing.... they were absolutely NOT in this place.....:(
