Had a ladies dinner last night with 6 friends and we won’t return. Although the food was good - not spectacular but not awful - our big issue was the policy around the STRICT 2 hour deadline - “Quanto basta” or as much as you like as long as you do it within 2 hrs. Many places have this policy, although it annoys me I respect the directive, and only need to be told ONCE. We likely would have been gone within 2 hours but .. we were told at least 4 times at the start of the meal that we had to vacate by 8 pm. The server told us twice, and the hostess told us twice. Although several of us arrived right on time, 3 others were 20 min late due to weather. Those of us that arrived on time were seated 15 min before the server offered us water or took our drink orders. The service for food was quick, mainly it felt to get us fed and on our way. When we didn’t order any dessert , the bill was slapped on the table at 7:45 - clearly to get us to leave. Quanto Basta is a very popular Neighbourhood spot, but none of us will be back. To retain customers management should seriously lighten up on communicating their 2 hour policy.

Truly authentic Italian cusine with presentation, service and ambience that sets this place apart....The food is consistently excellent and the ingredients are the best.....The vibe is always upbeat and Julia conducts the symphony of food people and setting into a veritable adagio masterpiece....Bravo !!!!

Wow! Unreal experience here. Everything from the minute I walked in to the minute I did not want to leave. The level of guest experience here compared to other restaurants of similar nature in the area, is unmatched. I was taken care of by a lovely young lady (Gina Westwell) - whose service and work ethic is unmatched. She knew exactly what to suggest from the menu after a brief discussion of what I was looking for and she paired it with a lovely bottle of wine. Court was an amazing server with vast wine knowledge, she made the guest experience amazing as well, thank you both for the amazing experience! I will be back.
PS - you have to try the Bolognese and the pistachio cheesecake 🤤🤤 the tiramisu was decadent, light and hit all the right notes.
20/10 - highly recommend

I came here with my fiancé and the service was incredible. The bartender was exceptionally attentive and friendly. And made us feel right at home. All in all I’d highly recommend this restaurant to anyone! Thank you !

Terrible service. Bartender is rude and rushed our service. Sarcastic and spoke in a different language thinking we didn’t understand her. Won’t be back and don’t recommend. If you are looking for a nice vibe there are better places in the neighborhood.

I used a home delivery service and the food quality was beyond excellent including the freshest of buffalo mozzarella, delicious well dressed carpaccio and a paccetella pizza which was so honestly basic that it was incredible!
Courtney elevated this experience immensely. The food was great, quality ingredients but Courtney really elevated this experience to a 100/10. The beef carpaccio was a standout.

Quanto Basta is a pleasant enough restaurant in the Summerhill/ Upper Rosedale area of Toronto. The decor is a sort of chic modern with a wall of bench seating. The food is good. Prices are mid-high. On the evening I attended, the service was adequate, but my friend mentioned that it was better when he was there a few weeks earlier. One of the problems with Quanto Basta is the noise level. A number of patrons remain at the front of the restaurant, which is a bar, and the conversation level reverberates off the bare brick walls. The long banquette ensures that you are in close proximity to other patrons, so not ideal for an intimate dinner. The menu was relatively imaginative for Italian cuisine and all of our food was up to expectations. I found the vibe of the restaurant rather tense. Also, there's an overall sense of pretentiousness that I simply don't have time for anymore. I realise that my impressions are purely subjective, and many people wouldn't mind these conditions that I found off-putting. However, with so many choices for dining in the area, I won't likely be returning to Quanto Basta.

Don’t like to leave a bad review but my experience with this restaurant was absolutely horrible, especially with one of the owners who clearly didn’t care if my steak was dry and my lamb chops were tasteless and under cooked . I clearly explained myself and she was quick to respond “sir it’s the way you take your steak” as if that’s the reason why the meat is dry/old and the lamb chops had no taste. A word of advice to the owners remember it’s ALWAYS ABOUT THE CLIENTS! Be advised if you decide to check this place out!

Incredibile. Best pasta ever. We tried the salvatore and the cacio e pepe. 10/10 highly recommend, can’t wait to go there again. The lamb was also excellent
