Unexpectedly lovely brunch experience with a young friend. The ambience and service were lovely and the food was divine. I'm only sorry I hadn't made a priority of trying this Sunday jazz lunch before. I will shoot for the Saturday brunch here next time so I can try the savory crepes which were not an option on the Sunday jazz brunch menu. I had the Ricarda's Toronto which came with three eggs, bacon, sausages, salad and lemon ricotta pancakes.
This place is a gem! I had the hazelnut latte, blueberry smoothie bowl, and some poached eggs with sourdough toast. My mother had the eggs benedict, which came with beautifully baked home fries and a lovely salad. The ambiance is fantastic. The service was friendly and attentive.
Our server Kayley noted someone who came in after us had a similar order and was served before us. She assumed our food order had been accidently picked up. We received an apology and our food order was out within 10 minutes of her advising us of the issue. We had drinks to nurse while we waited which had been very timely. Without any initiative from us the Manager comped our whole meal. So customer service focused. Impressed with our whole experience.
