For a 1 star Michelin restaurant the bar probably does not meet the standards. Service was on spot. The food particularly the scallops were certainly under par. I have been in many 3, 2, and 1 star restaurants around the world, and this menu did not make the cut as far as I am concerned.
We had dinner in the Bar at Alo. It was a nice small tasting menu which was excellent for the value. The drinks were also amazing.
This was an absolutely perfect dining experience. The attention to details is amazing There was not one aspect of the evening that I could fault.
The order in which the dishes were served was very problematic; I ate dessert in the middle of the meal.
Scallop was way too salty. Very dim could barely see the food which is a shame, the presentation is very well done.
Our dining experience was excellent and we enjoyed every single bite of the dishes We had the tasting menu and upgraded with A3 wagyu and added a portion of duck on top of it. The food at Alo is exceptional, especially the dessert. We particularly loved the Ontario apple dessert and the trio. We celebrated a birthday at Alo and was given a small chocolate mousse cake on the house. It was very sweet and we really appreciated it. Overall it was a fabulous dining experience and we look forward to coming for another special occasion.
We had such a great experience at alobar, and a huge part of that was our waitress, Rachel. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely warm. She recommended the desserts, and they did not disappoint at all. We ordered the cheesecake and the banana cream pie both were absolutely amazing and some of the best desserts in Toronto. The cheesecake especially stood out and is easily the best cheesecake in the city. Amazing service, amazing meal and desserts, and a big thank you to Rachel for making our visit so enjoyable. We'll definitely be back!
Alobar was a great experience! I had taken my girlfriend here for her birthday and it was fantastic. The food was excellent, staff very friendly and they had a proper selection of drinks. If you're looking for a classy, fun night out, I highly recommend you give Alobar a try!
The food was delightful but we were rushed out and not a fan of this location now. Good service aside from the evident desire to flip the table. We were two older women who were not subtly rushed after one drink and a few plates. Not even offered a second. 60 minutes max
Every single thing at Alobar was perfect last night. The food, the drinks and the service was top notch. Highly recommend!

Very enjoyable. Wait staff professional and helpful. Lighting very dim - cell phone light needed for menu
Eating at Alo is always a good time. Great service and great food. It is a bit pricey, but perfect for a business meeting or bar date, imo.
We were there for our anniversary. Great service, thoughtful acknowledgement. Staff went out of their way to make it a special evening.
Excellent service from the whole Alobar team. From the welcome staff to my server. Exceptional service
My friends and I dined at Alobar last night. The food was good and the service pleasant, however I was disappointed and quite frankly embarassed when, after spending nearly $1,000 on a meal, we were asked to leave since our table was committed. My two friends arrived 30 minutes late for the reservation due to Toronto weather and traffic and while I completely recognize that restaurants try to seat multiple tables a night, it was rude and unacceptable that we were asked to leave before dessert - note that that was only a 2.25 hour sitting which is relatively short, especially given that this is meant to be a high end dining experience (and we would've continued ordering cocktails and more food over the course of the evening). Unlikely to return, since my two friends had never been before and I suggested Alobar and was left embarassed with this treatment.
