Took over an hour to get our food. Then it arrived cold. All four of us. Tuna was impossible to eat. Everything was average or less. So called manager dint come to see us until half hour after we asked to speak to them. And then she was condescending. From all the hype We all were expecting a wonderful experience It was the opposite. There are just too many options in Toronto to put up with that.

Sash restaurant had been recommended by a couple of friends who said it was expensive but very good and this is accurate. The food is all prepared with great care - the tuna steak was to die for, and the mushroom soup was so velvety -and I appreciate how I h time it takes to prepare. The atmosphere was so serene and the place is beautifully decorated with stunning bouquets from Teatro Verde. Even using pure cotton napkins was much appreciated - I cannot stand the polyester ones. We stayed until almost midnight with newlywed friends who were equally pleased.

The food was good and the presentation great. The ambience was also good but the service was definitely subpar. We felt rushed from our drinking orders to the paying for our night. The servers come by numerous times to ask if they could clear out our dishes while we were still eating - with the exception of one server who was attentive. It was not a busy night and there were numerous tables still available so we did not understand why the rush.

The entire experience was great! The food was delicious and beautifully presented, Britta was a most friendly server, and the decor and ambience were very pleasant. We had halibut and blackened salmon (the day's special). The corn bread was also excellent. We hope to be back before too long. Good luck to Sash in his quest....

This was my first experience at SASH. I heard great things about it. We were greeted by a warm and friendly hostess. The buspersons were great, very friendly and professional. Unfortunately our waiter wasn't very welcoming or friendly. He had major attitude and looked down his nose at us all evening. It's amazing how service can put a damper on your whole evening. He asked us if we'd like any sides, I declined, and his response was.....are you sure? Food was good but not great. I thought that prices were on the high side considering the size of the portions. I had the chilean seabass with coconut milk. 49.00 price was okay but it came with no sides at all, not even a sprig of parsley. Would I go back or recommend? Probably not, unless I had the choice of servers.
