We had a great lunch here during a business meeting. The space was comfortable and the atmosphere made it easy to talk. Service was friendly and efficient, and the food was fresh, and well-prepared taking care to observe food allergy. A solid spot for both business and casual meals, I highly recommend!

The staff was all wonderful except for our waiter who was dismissive and did a very poor job of taking care of us. Had to flag him down for cocktails and later on for wine. Was going to find out the name of the Chablis for me but he never did. Would interrupt our conversation when he felt like serving us The food was incredible and the atmosphere was beautiful, but we've never been treated so poorly in a high-end restaurant before and I don't think it was us, I think it was just his service style.

We had three seafood dishes (shared) - Sardines, Clam pasta and the Dover Sole. Certainly the best Sole that I've had in Toronto in recent memory. Right up there with what we've had in France (Paris). All excellent. Looking forward to returning.

Food was amazing! Every dish was impeccable, one of the best calamari appetizers I've ever had.

It was our 40th wedding anniversary, so I decided to make day of it. We had lunch and dinner, in between we did other things. I made reservations. I was aiming for stuff we had in the past but not for a long time and some new stuff. Lunch was great, some oysters(because it's been awhile and they are so good),fresh grated horse radish with the oysters, yes! The Chef suggested Pan Seared Scallops and/with Risotto which I accepted and loved it, Quebec Cornish Hen with Fricassee of spring vegetables + morels + truffles + natural jus.( chose this because this is what we had on our wedding day, It was delicious) I can,t remember the wine other then Italian. That was chosen because of a trip taken long ago. Oh yes the espresso, I think the serving size of the espresso was a little small but this was my first one at a restaurant so i can't compare. The taste was great. Because we were celebrating it was over 100+ per person with tip for lunch. They have a Lunch Prix Fixe menu which we did use but at the same time I did not check totals or anything else. The server/service was excellent.
Dinner was great also. We started with Cocktails, I with Empress Sour significant other, Strawberry Refresher both very good. Next selection, Caviar + Accoutrements, it's been awhile since we had this too but we have never had all the Accoutrements, we really like the egg white. Next selection Champange, what can I say BUBBLES! Next selection, Fresh Grilled Sardines, milder than Mackerel, significant other helped me get it off bone, a little larger then I thought it would be, nice. Next Lake Erie Pickerel with fiddle heads/spring onion butter, had this because never having pickerel and wanting to try fiddle heads. Both were great. Dessert, after looking at menu I knew I had to try Kheer (Indian Rice Pudding Ice Cream) I had a few lumps in it but I really liked this. I also tried the Soufflé, I believe the special flavour was Cointreau. I enjoyed this also. To finish, a Cappuccino. The service and server were great. The dinner was way more $$$ than lunch but it was all part of the bucket list of life. On our way out we thanked them again and at the time I said I may not be back but after writing this and thinking about the food, I think I would love to come back. Thank you. P.S. would love to take more pics but I real want to try/eat food, and thanks to you Sash and all the staff.

It was our first time to dine there. I actually saw the documentary Born Hungry and as soon as I knew I was visiting Toronto, I made a reservation. The food was amazing and a phenomenal variation of cuisine with excellent flavours and beautiful presentation. The service was fantastic and we enjoyed the ambience and good company. My highlight was meeting Sash who was extremely friendly and personable. What a wonderful end to our excellent dining experience and visit to Toronto.

When I knew I was visiting Toronto and I had watched the documentary Born Hungry , I made a reservation. It was definitely an amazing experience. Greeted by friendly staff, we were seated at a nice table surrounded by lovely decor. The menu had great selections and we all enjoyed our choices. Beautiful desserts ended our dining experience. I was very fortunate to also meet Sash who was very friendly and personable. A wonderful way to end a lovely visit to Toronto.

A perfect t meal and night out. The only short coming was a very loud office group who seemed oblivious to the fact they were disturbing other guests. No fault of the restaurant or staff. But totally inconsiderate group who took advantage of the good manners of e very one else.

With so many high end restaurants in the city Sash came up a lil short
Awesome guy! Great story! Beautiful restaurant but I think they need to work out some kinks or at least be more diligent in hiring staff that are more inclined to service a high end restaurant

Our dinner was absolutely superb as usual. We had the Tuna and Sardines to start followed by the Sea Bass and Sea Bream (special). The blueberry and raspberry dessert was a wonderful ending to a beautiful night in a beautiful restaurant. Thank you Chef and the wait staff who all provided exemplary service.

Sandra

Sash is an under rated restaurant. It's one of the classiest places in Toronto for food and drink. The cuisine is spectacular and ambience excellent. The wine selection is varied and well priced. The chef has an amazing story. Well worth a visit. More than once !
