Amazing experience! The food was exceptional, we tried the Chef Lu's menu and it was so hard to choose a favorite.
The staff were incredible such a fun atmosphere from perfect lighting to great music we even got a mini performance as the staff were sininging with the customers!
10/10 would recommend!
Also the prices were so reasonable incredible food without breaking the wallet!
Dietary restrictions: Almost half the menu was gluten free!

I absolutely love simpl things. Chef Cody’s food is always outstanding and the cocktails are always a highlight. I just recently tried they’re new concept and would highly recommend.

Recommended dishes: Wedge Salad
FOOD: too bad and too slow.
• Croquetas: no flavors, taste like a simple deep fried potato ball.
• Pappardelle: pasta sitting in a bowl of water, undercooked and meat is mushy, zero flavor in it.
• Wedge salad (add steak): the lettuce is underneath mountain of dressing, there're 5 slices of steak added to my salad and they're very chewy.
DRINKS:
• "Fresh" orange juice: is poured out from bottle and it took them 40 mins to serve it.
• Coffee is made from tiny home coffee machine.
SERVICE: my juice is served after 40 mins and food is over an hour. No apologize, no explanation what so ever. There's only 1 person in the kitchen cooking for about 6 tables there.
VIBE: tiny restaurant that they tried to squeeze in as many seats as possible. It's so tight and uncomfortable sitting in there, tables are too small. It's lack of air to breath as there're too many people in a small room so people have to open the window although it was not a warm day.

Great brunch, wonderful atmosphere. We had The Weekday Fry Up, and Shaksugo (crispy polenta fries - yum!) with original martinis to start, and espresso martini. Everything was delicious! Will definitely be back ?

Cute and affordable bao & other dishes and cocktails. Most of the Asian menu is fried, possibly due to the lack of a full kitchen, but the flavours of the bao were fabulous making up for it. The dumplings and noodles were okay but bao is clearly the go-to.

Really cute and interesting space. The servers there were very nice and friendly to chat with. A little over priced for both drinks and food. The pasta I got was a bit on the smaller portion sized, but I did enjoy everything nonetheless.

We had brunch at SIMPL THINGS, and it was quite an interesting local spot. This place has a unique setup with two restaurants in one location. Until 4-5 PM, one group runs it, and after an hour, it turns into a Chinese restaurant.
The brunch was nice. The sandwiches were very impressive, though the egg sausage dish was not that special. The mashed potato, which was placed in the oven and roasted, was a unique and tasty experience for me.
The server was nice and attentive. The location is close to a food shelter, which wasn’t ideal, but the unique decoration inside made it feel separate and cozy. Overall, a pleasant experience and worth a visit.

Checked out this place for dinner on Wednesday April 24, 2024 and wow! What a culinary experience. It’s small and cozy with amazingly kind and attentive staff. The food is delicious as are the drinks. The ambiance and decor is easily my favourite I’ve seen in all of toronto. I cannot wait to be back! I truly felt like I was getting a Michelin star experience with the mouth watering taste of the dishes, with affordable pricing. I don’t post reviews unless I absolutely love something or totally hate it, so the fact that I’m writing this means a lot. What a gem of a spot! Oh, and make sure to try their dessert- wow! Tons if veggie options on the menu too :)

Cute local spot with cool decor and delicious food.Stopped in on a whim on a Saturday afternoon around 2:30. Was seated immediately.Service was friendly and attentive. Was recommended a steak sandwich on special and it did not disappoint. Also enjoyed the croquettes and wedge salad.Prices were roughly $14-25 a dish. Portions are reasonable and the food was delicious.Cocktails were tastey. Beer is served in cans and approx. $7-$9 a piece.Would be happy to return.
