They should charge more for their chicken parm, it was absolutely divine. A must try brunch item. And their French toast was the perfect end to the visit. Sweet, and home-y, tasted like crème brûlée and love.

Glad we discovered this cool place! Such a great atmosphere, amazing cocktails, delicious food and great service!

Visited Simpl Things recently due to positive reviews on social media for their brunch along with some recent collaborations they were involved with. Simpl Things is best known moreso for their bar and snacks, however, they also serve daily brunch which is also well received. Their snack bar leans more on the Asian-fusion side while their daily brunch leans on the Italian side especially as there is a pasta rotating feature. Tried one of their popular brunch items which was their Breakfast Sando - a sandwich made using thick-cut bacon, scrambled egg, avocado, cheddar cheese, pickled onions and shredded lettuce done on their house made milk bread. The sandwich was freshly made and is decently sized, as it was filling on its own without having to add on any additional items on top of being very flavourful. Their house made milk bread is featured on a number of their brunch items as well, such as their French Toast and Avocado Toast. Service was very friendly, as staff were able to provide recommendations of popular brunch items as well as checking in. In terms of atmosphere, the restaurant itself is more of a cozy environment with a mix of tables, high top and bar seats. Overall, this would be a recommended brunch spot in the area and is also a recommended bar spot given the accolades it has received.

Caesars were tasty! food was also tasty but steak and eggs were sub par. Cooked well but not much to it. Someone took one of our jackets from the rack at front door. A new system will have to be implemented and we do expect a call once returned.

This is truly a neighbourhood gem that is worthy of 5 stars. It's a small charming space with impeccable service and exceptional dishes. Our server was amazing in her explanations of dishes and offered excellent recommendations... all of which were a hit at our table. Drinks were equally innovative and set us up for a memorable night! Thank you for a great experience! Looking forward to coming back soon.

Great service, flavourful meals and some of the best cocktails in Toronto. I think the chefs have done a deal with the devil over how good they make mushrooms taste.

Great space with very cool decor and menus. We absolutely LOVED the udon carbonara and I don't even normally like udon. The shareable small plates were all good fun. I didn't love the short ribs, but my partner and friend loved them, so maybe it's just me not loving pork. Cool spot, would recommend.

This is a small space that has a cute modern design. The entrance allowed a wheelchair through and had a ramp. There is no automatic door opener. We could navigate to a table and sit comfortably. The bathroom is very small with a step, very small door and no bars to assist in seating. Definitely not handicap accessible, for those interested. The menu for brunch is small but has everything you would want for a brunch. The servings are very large and could feed two or take home some. The prices are very reasonable for the excellent quality and generous quantity of food. Each meal is chef prepared in an open kitchen away from the seating area. The breads are fresh and prepared in house. Service was attentive and we never felt rushed. Highly recommended

Fantastic gem tucked away in the heart of Parkdale! I've been there for dinner twice. The food is Asian fusion and absolutely delicious! The bartender is amazing. She knows her stuff. Try their house martini, it's hands down one of the best I've ever had.

My Fiancee and I went here for the first time for date night. Food was delicious, cocktails were tasty & service was wonderful. For food, the Udon Carbonara & Miami Short Ribs were standouts. For drinks, the Plum & Circumstance and Savanna Bananas were the best cocktails we had. Our 2 servers were very thoughtful, attentive, friendly & cheerful. We look forward to coming back!

This place is a first-class gem. Food is some of the best I have ever eaten. The drinks are curated perfectly. The staff are well trained and friendly.

Food was very tasty! Service was great. My only complaint is the bench we sat on was so narrow that it was hard to get comfy. But otherwise it was great and I would definitely return for the food!!

I went to Simpl Things tonight with seven friends. We had the black pepper calamari, steamed bao, mushroom salad, fried chicken, steamed dumplings and chefs platters. Everything was amazing. The fried chicken was perhaps the best I’ve ever had in Canada. The chefs platter steak and sausage were divine. The service and atmosphere were great. Loved the 90’s grooves on Spotify. And the prices are reasonable especially considering the dish quality. Do yourself a favor and give Simpl Things a try. We will be going back.

Dined with a group of friends and tried many dishes. Unfortunately none were very memorable or tasty except for the udon carbonara dish, but it was inconsistently seasoned (we ordered 2 servings). We enjoyed the yuzu non-alcohol cocktail. Nice atmosphere and okay service.
