Needed to try poutine on my trip to Toronto and was given only one recommendation.. Smoke's. The menu is excellent with choices for everyone. We got vegetarian and meat options as well as the original poutine. Service was decent enough and friendly. This location isn't very accessible friendly or stroller friendly but we made it work. Overall a nice experience.
Tried it after a show nearby and was honestly disappointed. The fries were soggy and the toppings were just okay—not nearly as flavorful as I expected. Service was fine, but the food didn’t live up to the hype.
Had a great experience on Friday august 1 around 12:30am. When we arrived a young man (I believed named Meet) was the one working the counter and helping customers. It just so happened there were two customers at the counter being belligerent (even approaching me at one point to accuse me of filming the situation). Though their meltdown was taking place, He was still able to calmly and professionally take my friend and I’s order and treat us with the upmost kindness. Working...
