Amazing experience! The ambulance, food and service team where exceptional.
I am a repeat customer of Sofia! Their team, ambiance, and most importantly, food are consistently above and beyond! Highly recommend their pizza, branzino, and orange salad are my faves. The half-priced pasta on Sundays is the best way to get ready for your week. DO NOT skip dessert. You need to try their new lemon meringue/ice cream with a cookie. The front patio is my go to and you will always receive a warm welcome. Grazie xox
I came here for my friend's birthday party. The staff were courteous. The food was great. Overall, it was amazing!
Despite a bustling evening and a slightly slower pace than expected for our large group's fixed menu, we had a great time. The food was fantastic, both in taste and presentation. The staff, though clearly busy, were consistently friendly and attentive. Sometimes, these things happen, and they did their best!
Appetizers were great. Cornish hen was very, very salty. Vety disappointed with the lamb. Not tender at all.
the staff are always amazing and the food is spectacular....enjoy Sofia every time I have ever gone..never had a bad meal and have never had anything but spectacular service
Beautiful restaurant with great food and service. I had the veal Milanese and it was delicious as well as their crispy potatoes. We also ordered the fish but unfortunately it wasn’t good. The complimentary bread was great and the dessert we took was divine. Our waiter was funny and provided us with great recommendations and service.
Took 50 minutes to go from course 1 to 2 on a Tuesday night. Total food time was from 8:00pm ordered to 9:45 leaving. For two courses, and simple dishes. Server's were uncaring and seemed like they couldn't be bothered. The wait would've been fine if the food was worth it. It was not. Mediocre at very best for a restaurant in the middle of Yorkville. Much better Italian options. Ambiance and setting was great, but otherwise very underwhelming.
We went for a late lunch and were surprised they were still serving breakfast. Unfortunately, the food felt more focused on presentation than flavour. For the price, we expected better. It came off a bit like a Michelin wannabe without the taste to back it up.
On the bright side, the service was excellent. The interior was fine, but the vibe outside was much more lively and inviting. Sadly, it was nearly 40 degrees out, so we stayed inside, which didn’t quite match the energy of the patio.
Overall, the food was mediocre. I wouldn’t return for a meal, but I’d definitely consider coming back for a coffee or drink on the patio when the weather’s right.
Decent restaraunt. Good food and service just 4 stars since the server didn't notify us of the half off pasta/dessert for Sundays.

From the moment you walk into Sofia in Yorkville, you know you’re in for something special. The ambiance is effortlessly chic, with sleek, modern decor that’s warm and inviting, offering the perfect blend of luxury and comfort. The food? Truly outstanding. Each dish is a masterpiece, combining bold Mediterranean flavors with a refined touch. The Crispy Octopus is a must-try—perfectly tender and crispy, bursting with layers of flavor. The Cavatelli is a personal favorite, with its delicate texture and rich, savory sauce that is both comforting and sophisticated. And don’t even get me started on the Lobster Tail—it’s cooked to perfection, with just the right balance of richness and sweetness.
The service is impeccable. Knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely warm, the staff here makes you feel like you're a VIP from the moment you arrive. Whether you're looking for a wine recommendation or just some insight into the best dishes, they’re happy to help, making the entire dining experience feel seamless and personal.
All in all, Sofia is more than just a meal—it’s an experience. If you’re looking to indulge in exceptional food, outstanding service, and an atmosphere that’s both elegant and relaxed, this place has it all. Highly recommend for anyone looking to elevate their dining game in Toronto!
We had a very nice time at Sofia. Vodka pastas were the best I have had and service was impeccable. Thank you for the nice evening.
We ate on the patio because the weather was perfect. The hostess and server was amazing. Polite and attentive enough. The food speaks for itself! 10/10. We had brunch. The Cacio e Pepe scrambled eggs will change your life. Absolute perfection. The mimosas were just ok. Would not order those again. Their coffee is spectacular for a restaurant. Highly recommend
I enjoy going to Sofia, and the cornish hen (GALLETTO SCHIACCIATO) is delicious and whole (thank you!). The servers and hosts are always pleasant and ensure everything is in order. Although I wish they had informed us ahead of time that the pasta promos are cancelled during special events, like Father's Day. I will be coming back because I was pleasantly surprised that portions here are filling. Thank you and see you soon!
The food was not as advertised, the potatoes were boiled rather that their signature potatoes, eggs were cold. Service way too slow given the restaurant was quiet. Very surprised given that I have been several times—- appears as of there was a change in management, chef something.
