Tenoch (tea-notch) is the coziest Mexicana restaurant I have found in Toronto. I have been here 4 times so far. I'm an Irish Canadian, but love cultural exploration. Tenoch could be translated to Teacher, for friendly introduction and experience in Mexicana comida (food), and in general, beyond cultures and cuisine, perhaps the warmest place on St Clair W. Tonight I had pozole, whatever you try, with an open mind, you will ❤️ 💯

Ordered for pickup, food was clearly not fresh specially the salad, rice didn’t taste very good either and the portion size is just SO SMALL for the price you pay, don’t waste your money here.

We really enjoyed this Mexican Restaurant on St Clair at Oakwood. We're in TO for a short time and came in late our 1st night. The lemon rice with the Dorados was sublime as were the taco chips with the green sauce! Service was warm and friendly as was the fun Halloween décor and Latin American atmosphere. We returned 2 nights later for a burrito and tostadas. Delicious. Very generous portions. Top notch. This restaurant deserves to be experienced. Thanks so much to the staff and chef.

TENOCH Restaurant on St. Clair Avenue West in Toronto is a cozy and authentic Mexican spot that perfectly captures the warmth, flavor, and spirit of Mexico. The atmosphere is welcoming, the décor is vibrant, and the food is absolutely delicious. Their chicken tacos, in particular, are a must-try — perfectly seasoned, juicy, and full of authentic Mexican flavor. The cocktails complement the dishes beautifully, making it an ideal place to relax and enjoy a great meal.

However, what truly makes TENOCH stand out is not just the food, but the incredible service. Among the team, Aremy truly shines. From the moment I walked in, she greeted me with a warm and genuine smile that instantly made me feel comfortable. Throughout my visit, she remained calm, composed, and attentive. She made sure my order was perfect, the food was up to quality standards, and that I was enjoying my experience.

Her professionalism, hospitality, and cheerful attitude added a personal touch that made my dining experience unforgettable. Employees like Aremy are the reason people fall in love with restaurants — she makes guests feel valued and cared for. Because of her, I would love to visit TENOCH Restaurant again and again.

OMG!! Found this place by accident driving home to Toronto from cottage country. It’s worth getting off the highway and driving to Innisfil Beach Road for a fun atmosphere and delicious Mexican food. It was a quiet Wednesday evening but the music, colours, food and charm won us over!

Absolutely obsessed! We had the steak tacos, ceviche, and chimichangas—all insanely good and bursting with authentic flavor. The vibe inside is so fun and colorful, like a mini escape to Mexico—perfect stop after a sunny beach day.

Service was good, but not exceeding, the atmosphere standard, and the food was mostly good. The beef that came with the Barbacoa was delicious and juicy. The soup was too greasy, but perhaps that's how it's meant to be.

This was my 2nd visit to this restaurant. The first time, I had the enchiladas and they were very good. This time I ordered tacos and I was surprised that they didn't have ground beef tacos, only pork, shrimp, chicken or sausage. We started with the nachos, which was served with enchilada sauce instead of salsa, but it worked. Then I had the shredded chicken tacos, which turned out to be chunks of chicken breast - not shredded - on soft, soggy tacos. The first one I lifted up fell right through the taco. It was supposed to be served with tomato sauce but all I saw was one thin slice of tomato peel in one of the tacos. It was so dry, I could barely swallow it. We mentioned it to one of the servers and she offered to replace my meal and brought me the menu again. She never came back though and my friend finished eating his dinner. When the bill came it included the food I'd returned and when we mentioned it they did remove it from the bill. On the way out I passed the server who had said she would come back to take my order and I was a bit sarcastic when I said "Thanks a lot for coming back", and her reply was "Sorry about that." I left, not impressed with either the food or the service.

My friends and I had a great time at Tenoch Restaurant. If you’re craving some tasty Mexican food and good vibes, this is where you should head.

The Michelada con Camerones is very refreshing and balanced, and the tajin rim is chef's kiss. Garnished with plump, juicy shrimp, you can't go wrong. They give you some complimentary tortilla chips with salsa. They have a verde salsa, which is midly spicy, a red salsa which is a little hotter and a very nice habanero salsa that tickles your tongue and has you coming back for more.

We really enjoyed the Cochinita tacos. The achiote flavour absolutely slaps, and the roasted pork shoulder was very juicy. You can order tacos 3x or 5x same variety. I'd like to see an option to mix and match or order singles.

We had a recommendation from our wonderful server Paola to try the chicharon. She definitely knows her menu as this was the star of the show. The porkbelly comes beautifully braised and is a must try.

The Camerones Rancheros was tasty as well. Tasty shrimp, perfectly fluffed and seasoned rice, a very nice Pico de Gallo, delicious corn tortila, and some refreshing salad all come together to make a delectable plate.

All the staff were super friendly and welcoming. The vibe and atmosphere had us really enjoying our night. Service was on point, and we were very well taken care of.

You gotta check this place out!
