Had a horrible encounter at this location. Food was disgusting - Pad See Ew was actually ew. Bland but with overpowering soy sauce taste. The WORST part is the rude lady!!! Asked for a proper plastic box with lid as the paper box given had loose cover. They cheaped out and only hesitantly offered a small tiny box. And after, the lady was ranting and giving judgy looks and said boxes are costly. Excuse me? At least have some decent customer service when your food is bad. Terrible, rude customer service without respect, would Never ever go to Thai express.
Absolutely horrible chicken pad thai. No flavor, noodles were dry, barely any chicken and 1 piece of tofu. The staff was good but I've never had pad thai from thai express as horrible as this. I've had 2 day old thai express which had more flavor. I have no clue if they're using proper amount of flavoring and the right ingredients. Should have stuck to McDonald's.

This restaurant is an utter disaster. Rude staff, no organization, and a frustrating pickup system. They dump food on a counter with no signs. You're left searching for your order. The lady at the counter screamed at me for asking which dish was mine. Avoid this place at all costs - awful experience from start to finish. Don't waste your money here, go anywhere else.

I would have given the food 4 stars, but they are serving awfully stale crushed peanuts on the counter that spoiled my meal.EDIT 1: I decided to give this place another try, since I was craving pad-thai. All I can say is that for anyone who’s ever been to Thailand and eaten real thai to food, you should not have high expectations or any expectations at all. This food has no soul.

I asked for beef and non spicy. She said Yes. It wasn’t beef stir fry, beef stew or whatever beef you would expect in any other food stands. What I was served were 9 or 10 small balls <1” of flour outside, precooked and fried before serve. Inside there was tiny minced mix tasted like some kind of protein or so I would want to believe it is meat.It is cheating. Now it’s clear why they don’t present the dish components to be assembled like any other food stands do.Spicy as well.I brought the dish back & questioned if it was her mistake. No she said, that is how they got from head office, very quick in responding.Common on.Their price is much more expensive vs others as well. I paid $17 after tax vs less than $14 at Greek stand or even less at Thai Ruby or any others with same quantity or protein and veggies in their double choices.Shameful.

Okay fast food thai place. Selection is so-so, a little slim on options but fine considering it's clearly a working day lunch place.Staff is okay. Pleasant enough but we will see if that stays up as people return to offices and they get busy.
I ordered Tom yum chicken spicy broth. Made fresh. Tasty. Large portion. Had to wait in line but it went pretty quick. Atmosphere is only 3 stars because after all it is in an underground food court.
Vegetarian options: Veg dish is available.

Out of all the food court spots nearby, I always choose Thai express in Scotia plaza - the line gets long but they work through it so efficiently and it never takes more than a few minutes. The owner is also super kind and has offered exceptional customer service every single time. The food is great and I’ve noticed higher quality eats here than other Thai express chains I’ve been to. They always cook it to perfection and I usually have enough for lunch and dinner! What a steal. I love that it’s cooked fresh in front of you and they offer the highest quality ingredients. So yummy and worth the price. My go to is the pad see ew (sooo delish with the thicker noodles) and the curry chicken rice - it’s always come covered in the curry with the best consistency and leaves every bite very flavourful. The chicken is also never dry!If you’re going to spend your lunch money, I highly recommend spending it here. Also very convenient to get to using the path from wherever you are because it’s in such a central financial district location.
This is a great place to get a quick fresh lunch. I work in the building so it’s super convenient for me to swing down to get food. Staff here are friendly and work very quickly. Don’t be discouraged by the long line that happens during peak lunch hours - they get through it just fine. There’s a reason they have a line while others don’t!
Not recommended. I had received a free drink coupon and the counter representative made excuses that their code scanner wasn't working. Extremely unprofessional.

My go to spot for lunch. Staff is always friendly and offer great recommendations. I always ask for no peppers and my order is right every time!
I always come here for lunch when I’m working downtown, love the food. The service is quick and the staff members are always friendly.
