My friend is Jamaican and he really liked the food here, the owner, the manager, server, everyone was so chill and welcoming, we had good dinner, the music was good the ambiance is Soo beautiful
This restaurant was giving totally authentic Jamaican vibes.
The food was really authentic with filling portions.

We ordered chicken and rice
It comes with coleslaw and festival .
A must try for Jamaicans and the people who live Jamaican food 😊

NOT RECOMMEND!
Called to place an order over the phone n the person hung up the phone on me while I was trying to explain my order. Truly embarrassed cause I was going to introduce my friend to this restaurant and we ended up going to The Real Jerk Restaurant on Gerrard St. instead. I will no longer be supporting this establishment. It's unfortunate this place is TRASH now

To all fellow Uber drivers ,Please avoid accepting any orders from this restaurant. They consistently make drivers wait over an hour for order preparation. Initially, they’ll say ā€œjust 5 minutesā€, then extend it to ā€œ10 more minutesā€, and keep delaying beyond that.If a restaurant can’t prepare food on time, they should hire more staff instead of wasting driver’s time. I’m never accepting an order from here again — and I strongly recommend you don’t either.

I'm a frequent customer at diners because I truly enjoy the food, but lately the customer service has been declining. During our most recent visit, we were there to relax and enjoy ourselves as usual. The place wasn't busy at all, yet it took over an hour for our food to arrive—we nearly left out of frustration. To make matters worse, when I got home, I found that our takeout order was incomplete. This experience was really disappointing. I'm not sure if they realize this damaging business

Place has gone downhill šŸ‘Ž … two years ago, this place was a sure bet, goat blew me away, but after today, sad and upset at how far they’ve drifted. My Takeout order was late by 25 minutes (they probably forgot then made it when I arrived). Lid on gravy wasn’t on properly, so it spilled all over inside of my bag (instead of plastic bag it was a paper bag, so it didn’t encase the spillage 😔 ). I double checked with server that my order came with coleslaw when I was waiting, got home, no coleslaw 😤. Just a really sad ā€œsaladā€ of a few lettuce leaves, raw onion, and a sliver of red pepper. So with no gravy, I’m eating dry rice and beans, and extra ($9!?!?) festivals, which I was excited to mop up gravy with. I got the bony parts of (dry!?!) dark meat chicken, you know the attachment with that flat bone, looks at first like meat, but it’s all bone, and a drumstick that was cut diagonally where all the meat’s supposed to be!!!
I was super hungry and ready for my belly to be taken care of by some great Carribean good eats, and was incredibly disappointed. I don’t like writing poor reviews, especially to small businesses that represent the diversity of Toronto culture, but they did it to themselves with this really poor showing. This meal was $30 dollars too!!! 😩

Went to Mel Lastman Square today and decided to support this business (food truck). However, that quickly changed when I approached - ZERO greeting, no ā€˜hi’, nada. I asked for a drink and the guy just got the drink, punched in the amount and said nothing. The transaction was taking a minute and instead of him saying anything, I had to ask him if it went through and he just stared at me and then shoved the machine back for me to try again. I grabbed the drink and left without bothering to ask for anything more because that the attitude was horrific. Ironically, I saw other businesses thriving because the customer service was excellent. I bought elsewhere and those individuals were able to use their voice. Bad attitude like that will definitely impact your ability to make money if you continue to hire people who have zero skills with customers. I will not be supporting this establishment as long as that guy is there.

I came from the US to Toronto Canada and ended up having the best sweet and sour chicken in the wonderful Jamaican restaurant. The chicken was so tender and it melted in my mouth.

Initially, things seemed promising—the staff were friendly and welcoming when we arrived at the Diner’s Corner around 6 PM. We made it clear that we had a 7 PM appointment and asked about the wait time. We were told our food would be out in 15 minutes, which seemed perfect.

Unfortunately, it went downhill from there. The main dish we came for was unavailable. We tried ordering a drink—also unavailable. We compromised and ordered something else, staying patient.

Then we waited. And waited. For 45 minutes. Meanwhile, the restaurant got busier and other tables around us were being served, while we were left wondering what was going on. At 6:50 PM, we had no choice but to ask for our food to-go because we could no longer stay and enjoy the meal.

There was no apology, no explanation, and not even a gesture to make up for the delay—not even a simple ā€œsorry for the inconvenience.ā€ Honestly, I don’t like leaving bad reviews, but the experience was disorganized and disappointing. After a $90 bill, I expected better.

I ordered a curried goat, and it contained small, dangerous bone pieces.
