My partner and I recently moved into the neighbourhood and heard great things about this spot. The pizza from north of Brooklyn is always 10/10 and the staff are great, but the blonde haired matty matheson-looking dude gives us the worst attitude when we try to order drinks at the bar. He is super impatient and rude, and it feels borderline racist as my partner is not white. I thought maybe he was having a bad day but according to the other reviews it's clearly the standard level of service he gives to patrons.

Wow! What an absolutely amazing spot. Great beer, free arcade games for the kids and North of Brooklyn Pizza on-site, you gotta be kidding me. The best.

I had a lovely evening at Greater Good! Brandon was super welcoming and gracious. I highly recommend grabbing a pizza and enjoying the vast selection of unique beers!

The cheese n pepperoni pizza there probably gave me 2000 cal extra but I mean that in the best of ways. The perfect level of pizza, not too greasy or to plain, delicious and totally worth having to run 7km in the treadmill to burn it lol upstairs they have pool tables and arcade machines, which I didn’t try but look like fun! Been there a few times for drinks and they’re pretty good! Alsoooo, they have a nice little patio at the front n on the side that looks super cozy!

Probably the most traumatizing experience I have ever had. I was visiting from out of town with my friends (who are people of colour). They were extremely racist, physically aggressive and very dismissive.
The staff acted like they had never seen black people before. Just easily triggered and being extremely aggressive towards us.
A lot of people told me this place was good and I can say, while the pizza might be great- that was not worth the experience. Terrible human beings with the most entitled Caucasian personality. Very disappointing and unfortunately.. they disrespected the wrong group of people.
What happens when you judge a book by its cover.
Might I add this isn’t the first time and the first Black person that this has happened to.
Quite the racist establishment.
Let’s not forget the “bouncer” with the Napoleon complex. Very pathetic and aggressive.

This place has some of the worst service I’ve experienced in Toronto.
One bartender — I believe his name is Eyob — was openly aggressive and completely unprofessional. I watched him start a fight with a customer over some petty drama from months ago. Who does that? It’s like he’s looking for reasons to act hostile. Genuinely the most unpleasant and clueless person I’ve seen behind a bar.
To make it worse, the blonde woman working behind the counter acts like she’s doing you a favor by just existing. No hello, no smile, just constant attitude for no reason. Both of them bring down the vibe of the entire place.
The only reason anyone still walks through that door is because of North of Brooklyn pizza — which, frankly, deserves to be served in a better bar with actual hospitality. Greater Good? More like Greater Garbage.

I went to get pizza from North of Brooklyn, but found out this location is attached to The Greater Good bar. I did not have my wallet (/ID) as I was not the one paying for the food, and the security guard would not allow me to enter the PATIO (shared with the pizza place) despite being of age and having no interest in buying alcohol. The music on the patio was shitty too.
Would not recommend. Had no interest in going to this place but was forced to because it runs with the pizza place.

Wow—what an experience! If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be served by someone who clearly resents human interaction, this is your place. The bartender must have mistaken the bar for their personal therapy session, because the attitude was flowing faster than the drinks.
Worst experience ever. I walked in with near empty glasses from another brewery nearby because they didn’t have space. Plan was to order beer and pizza here instead. Except I started getting scolded by the rudest staff as I was trying to finish my glass and order pizza/beer. I’m just trying to have a drink and dinner, if you’d give me a second to settle in. Just pure rudeness and aggression. He kept asking if the beer was from there…I kept saying no but I’m here to order and my glasses are almost empty (he almost took them away before noticing they weren’t from the bar). There was no service…I was just trying to sit down and get on with my new orders. Horrible…
Such a fun spot with a great vibe!
Love that they have lots of games you can play with your friends – it really makes the night extra special.
We tried the vodka pizza, and honestly it was amazing!
Highly recommend checking this place out if you’re looking for a chill night with good food and good fun.
Great bar to bring the little ones during the early family hours. I highly reccomend the Killer Bee pizza. The spiciness is 90% flavour & 10% heat. If you like sours, the Radenbach Grand on tap at the time. Nice balance that was not so sour that it made me suck my gums like some other sours. The arcade machines are free, pinball is paid. The pool table was closed until later when the kids were gone (I totally understand that, my nephews and other kids were touching & rubbing their hands on the felt)
Really incredible cider options here! Lots of local draughts that are incredible. The atmosphere is also really lovely to stay with friends.
