I wanted to leave Hogtown Vegan 5 stars, I like the food and I've eaten there every time I visit Toronto, but I just realized that when you pay they offer the option of paying in $USD which I thought was a convenience to the customer, but after paying I did the math and realized they completely ripped me off with their exchange rate. They should stop doing shit like this because they just lost a customer over it.

Their vegan takes on southern dishes are phenomenal; I will definitely be returning soon!
Great indulgent vegan food
Recommended dishes: Southern Combo
The poutine and Caesar salad were both great! Cozy vibe and good spot to go to if you’re dining alone

I ordered phish and chips with poutine, and I don’t think they quite took the time to make it good. It just had some strands of cheese thrown in instead of melted and the batter of the phish was not super well done and pretty flavorless. I agree with some other review here that maybe it’s not a great place to get takeout from

Lovely place! With great service, it was very quiet when we visited. We both had dishes that had chicken based mains but one was a lot better than the other but both were still great!

Great vegan spot! Everything was flavorful and well prepared. While not my favorite spot in the entire world, I would love to eat here again next time we visit Toronto!

The food sounds and looks amazing but didnt quite hit the mark in terms of taste Lacking flavour in a few areas, the rueben and fried chicken was probably the best thing we had but it still wasn't a 5/5
If you're in the mood for vegan Southern cuisine, this is the place to be. Great portion sizes, friendly service, and a nice variety in the menu. I got the Southern Combo, the Mac and cheese went really well with the collard greens and the protein.

We were absolutely speechless on how good the food was. Had some really delicious buffalo wings with a chipotle dip, and also lovely mac n cheese and Poutine. Would without a doubt come back here if we visited Toronto again!
