I was craving Mac and cheese and ordered one to go. Needless to say, I was not disappointed in the slightest.

I was staying 2 blocks away from this AMAZING restaurant and I was in a hurry to get Take-away food. The staff was super nice and the food was INCREDIBLE. I tried the chicken hamburger and the Mac and cheese and it was super tasty! I would like to return so that I can eat at the restaurant as well!

Really great food and my server was so kind and lovely. The mains/appetisers were great. The birthday cake parfait wasn’t the nicest so I don’t recommend that but otherwise perfect.

The lady serving us was really friendly. The vibe was cool and cosy (good playlist too). We got a range of dishes, including the Southern Combo, the Reuben, and the soy wings. All were delicious. Enough stuff for the vegetarians in the group who aren’t overly fond of vegan cheese. All round great spot would recommend!

Manager yells and curses at you to leave the store poor management needs to be well trained but clearly not.

An extended Feast at Hogtown today really restored me.

Thank you for outstanding service by Poppy - attentive, friendly, just right

and thank you Chef for an exceptionally delicious tortilla salad, fries, both the brownie and lemon desserts were fabulous, Earl Grey tea.

Surrounded by luscious plants in the comfortable, artistic environment.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡

So good! I’ve already planned my next order. And I must say, the Spicy Espresso Brownie was super special. 👌🐖🌱

Its a small restaurant with a cute atmosphere, darkwarm light, cozy and nice. Think they also have a small terrace when its warmer. We ordered the unChicken Burger in buffalo Poutine and unChicken Waffles. Both REALLY tasty! The poutine was so good and full of flavour. Well seasoned fries and perfect sauce. The Waffles come with spiced cream (something like ice, really good!) and well garlic-ed greens. They offer Boylans Cherry Coke (and other flavours of Boylan), which makes us verry happy. Would eat here again and again! Waitress was so cute, super friendly and seemed to love her job. 5/5!❤️

This was…..incredible. 11/10. Took us so long to choose because everything sounded amazing. UnChicken and waffles was the perfect sweet and savoury and the poutine was drool worthy. We did ask for an extra side of gravy cause the fries at the bottom were dry from not enough sauce but they were super fast and it was perfection. We will be back.. like tomorrow lol!

A most do dinner spot if you’re vegan and in the area! If you’re staying anywhere near the CN tower this is an uber ride away but 100% worth it. The portions were huge and tasty, the staff were very helpful and gave us lots of recommendations for the rest of our trip. The pudding was unbelievable. Make sure you double check the days they are open, and when they are open, go there!!

I recently stopped by The Hogtown Vegan in Toronto. While the place has plenty going for it, I came away somewhat underwhelmed. The menu is stacked with vegan takes on Southern comfort food like mac & cheese, seitan “fried steak,” and unChicken wings. I can see how it would really hit the spot for true vegans, but as someone who isn’t vegan, it just didn’t click for me.

On the hospitality side, the server/bartender had little enthusiasm. Service was polite enough, but without any warmth or energy, which made the overall vibe feel flat.

The space itself is casual and laid-back, and I can imagine it’s a go-to for people who love plant-based comfort food. For me, though, it was more of a one-and-done visit.

In summary: Solid vegan comfort food for those who are into it, but if you’re not vegan, the menu might not grab you — and service could use a boost in energy.

The food tastes amazing and the serving sizes are huge. Service is friendly and helpful. The restaurant is nice to sit in.

Everything is vegan and they have different options for meat alternatives, including soy and seitan. The fries, sauces and everything else are homemade. Drinks are cheap. Gluten free options are clearly stated as such.

Would come again. 👍🏼
