I had buffet of few indian places in toronto, but must say, going before 2:00 pm on weekends, the buffet tastes so awesome and alive, with naan and chicken being served to the table complementary. I am impressed with the quality, varities, and hospitallity. Please keep putting efforts on buffet as many restaurants just keep the counters going dull without mantaining them frequently. Great work!

PS: methi paneer, kheera, fruit salad and goat curry were one of the best. Fried shrimps (didnt find any taste, probably make prawn curry) and phuchka water (pure tamarind water instead of mint water as an extra option) still had room for improvement.

The Host has the same flavor of food quality and ambience. Though small, it serves best quality and quantity of food. Value for money.

Had a great experience at Host Indian Restaurant! The food was full of authentic flavors, beautifully presented and served fresh. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. Definitely recommend trying their biryani and Paneer Saag. Will be coming back again!

Absolutely loved our experience at The Host in downtown Toronto, right across from The Hospital for Sick Children. We went for the buffet and for only around $25, it was honestly one of the best value meals we’ve had in the city.

Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. You can tell they really care about the quality of the food. My personal favorites were the goat curry, the butter chicken, and the coconut shrimp absolutely unreal. The butter chicken was rich and creamy, the goat curry had so much flavor, and the coconut shrimp disappeared from my plate in seconds 😭🔥

The atmosphere was great, staff were friendly, and the buffet kept getting refilled quickly. For the price, quality, and location, this place is seriously underrated. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in downtown Toronto and craving good Indian food.

Tried the buffet on a weekend.. there were not much choices and some of the food didn’t seem that fresh. The butter chicken was dry and paneer was bland. And beef would be so much better than goat.

Was not a good experience overall. Came for buffet but items were not refilled. Won't be coming back again.

Good, reliable Indian fare. I grew up going to the larger suburb locations but the downtown spot met the mark. Classic North Indian/Punjabi fare. Food was fresh and tasty and prices were reasonable. Paani puri was a bit bland and overall, there could have been a few more options to really hit home the Indian buffet feel.

Fantastic little place that takes pride in their restaurant. I wish the buffet included coconut curry but otherwise loved everything and the little salad addition.

Me and my family really enjoyed the dinner at the Host restaurant, downtown location. Mamun gave us excellent service and made our experience very pleasurable. We really enjoyed their Palak paneer, avadhi kofta, achari paneer, fish tikka with some plain and garlic naan. The food was delicious. We would highly recommend this restaurant. We are definitely going back again whenever we are in downtown.

I’ve been here several times and it never disappoints. The buffet is amazing, very affordable, and definitely well worth the money. You get a great selection, including appetizers, several main dish options, and dessert, so there’s plenty to choose from. The food is consistently fresh and tasty every time I visit, which is something I really appreciate.

Amazing service, Mamun was an incredibly great server and made sure we were comfortable and enjoying our food. He was very accommodating throughout and the buffet was great and very affordable. They serve halal food with vegetarian options with some options for dessert. Would come again!

Amazing and authentic halal Indian food. The buffet was absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and very authentic.

Mamun was very welcoming and accommodating to our Muslim faith. He provided us with a place to pray and made sure we were able to break our fast on time. This made our experience truly special.

If you’re looking for high-quality halal Indian food with amazing hospitality, I highly recommend this spot.
