The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - King West

My family ate at The Keg on King West last night, on our way to a Mirvish play. I called in for a reso and spoke with Alix/Alex and she was perfect. Upon arrival, Alix greeted us like she knew us and was thrilled to see us and seat us.
We were next introduced to MAHA who was the best server EVER and blew us away with her thoughtfulness and beautiful consideration of each member of our party.
I'm not a review writer, but, like you, I sure am judgy!
I judge this one of my best dining experiences ever.

Overall a solid experience at The Keg. The atmosphere was great, good lighting, clean washrooms, and a genuinely comfortable vibe. Service was efficient; the food came out without a long wait, which is always appreciated.

Jackson was genuinely fantastic. Attentive, professional, and clearly good at what he does. He made the experience feel looked after from start to finish and is the kind of staff that keeps people coming back. If you get seated in his section, consider yourself lucky.

The steak itself was well-prepared and hit the right temperature. Being a dense cut, it held its heat well throughout the meal. The sides were a different story. The potatoes and vegetables came out on the cooler side, and given how quickly vegetables lose heat, it was clear the plate had sat for a moment before reaching the table. The flavours were all there, so it is more of a timing note than a quality complaint.

A loud group came in toward the end of my meal as I was settling the bill, so personally it did not impact my experience much. That said, I genuinely felt for the other guests who had just sat down and started eating. What had been a quiet, relaxed atmosphere up to that point shifted pretty noticeably, and that is not the vibe you come to The Keg for.

Would return without hesitation, largely thanks to Jackson. Just hoping the next visit stays as peaceful as the first half of this one was.

Celebrated the other half’s birthday on Saturday at this location. Our server, Sarah was amazing! Very friendly,respectful and attentive. She made the experience very comfortable. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly. We enjoyed our dinner here.

Had a great experience at The Keg Steakhouse + Bar on King West. From the second we walked in, the atmosphere was amazing — lively, upscale, and perfect for a night out in the city. The restaurant has such a great energy to it, especially in the King West area, while still feeling comfortable and welcoming. The historic building and overall vibe really make the experience stand out.
The service was exceptional all night. Staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect without ever feeling rushed. You can tell the team here really cares about creating a great dining experience.
The food was exactly what you hope for from The Keg — consistent, high quality, and cooked perfectly. The steaks were full of flavor, sides were great, and the drinks were just as impressive. Everything came out fresh and timed perfectly. It’s one of those places you can always rely on for a great meal and a great atmosphere. A lot of people talk about how consistent The Keg is, and after this visit I completely understand why.
Whether it’s a date night, dinner with friends, or celebrating something special, this location is definitely one of the better spots in downtown Toronto. Easily a 5-star experience and I’ll definitely be coming back soon.

This is a stable restaurant my mother and I go to when she's in Toronto. The prime rib was cooked to a perfect medium rare. We noticed how hard every member of the staff worked to make sure the customers enjoyed their experience.

Decent steaks for a very reasonable price. Service is definitely slow and lacking. No hostess to seat us. Had to get someone from the bar to do it.

The food was excellent. We had the baseball steak with a stuffed potato and a well-fried calamari plate, and everything was delicious.
Unfortunately, the service was absent until I complained to the manager. Every order, whether beverages or food, was delivered late. Even the bread, which should have arrived early, was brought out almost at the same time as the steak. Unacceptable.
After I complained, the service improved and was finally what it should have been from the start.

The food was great. We had 3 steaks and 1 kids meal and the total came to $260... Our server was a young lady with tattoos (I don’t know her name) but she was very nice with the kids. I would give her 5/5.

Definitely one of the dirtiest Kegs I've been to and service was the worst I've experienced at a Keg. Still not bad and food tasted good. But all the glasses were dirty, server was busy (she was still super nice, so was manager) and drinks were okay.

Walked in on a Sunday and the service and food were top notch, as always

We had the best time! Food was so delicious and the Strawberry vanilla Margarita was so good!! Huge shoutout of to Cindy!!!!!!! She was the most kind, delightful, loveliest server ever ✨✨

Food is amazing as always. French onion soup is easily the best I’ve ever had and our server, even though busy was still amazing.
