My band played here on a Wednesday night. Everyone had a great time! The stage is very small but we somehow crammed in as a five piece. The bartender, Mike, is super nice and did an excellent job of helping out with the sound mix.
I went here with a friend for lunch and enjoyed ourselves. The food was great, but took a very long time to come. We were waiting for over 40 minutes for two entrees when restaurant was more than half empty.
The waitress was a bit sassy and hard to flag down, but overall had a good vibe. The live music was a nice touch.

We had a late lunch at The Local. The service was impeccable. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the food and drink options. We had fish and chips. I live in both Toronto and Newfoundland so I am most definitely biased. My friend loved the fish and chips. I thought it was just OK. Not bad but not great either. Despite this I highly recommend The Local. Excellent atmosphere, live music, nice little patio, reasonable prices, great service and very good food. I will order...
