Very lovely experience last night, wish I got the name of our server! Food was so delicious, the beet salad being a total standout. Unfortunately our party of three caught a stomach bug . Not sure if there was cross contamination going on.

Have to write a review as warning for any Eastern European going here. I used to love stop for its food and vibe, and the food is still delicious. HOWEVER, one of the servers working there (a young blonde girl) seems to have a very definite problem with any Eastern European being there. First when I asked if they serve vegetarian borsht, she said I quote “ absolutely NOOOT”. Second when asked if they serve Kompot they response was “we are not some effin Eastern European restaurant! The only reason we have borsht is because it’s too good to be taken off the menu”. Really? Is that why 80% of your dishes are Eastern European and you have carpet on the wall? Anyway, left feeling super unpleasant. Whatever is going with the person serving I hope the manager gets a hold of it before they lose all the customers.

Had a dinner reservation for a special occasion and they were already out of many dishes by 7pm. What we ended up with was small and disappointing. The space is cool.

First of all, the single ‘$’ sign signifying the restaurant’s affordability on Google should really be ‘$$$’, as it is priced like a Michelin star restaurant.
Other than the exorbitant pricing, there is really nothing wrong with this place. The atmosphere is nice. The food is tasty, but definitely not worth the price; unfortunately a far cry from the quality you would get at other restaurants at this price point.
Single dishes are in the $30-$50 range, and for that you literally get bite-size portions. This would be understandable if the quality would be on par, but it simply isn’t. Again, the food is not bad, it’s just it’s ridiculously overpriced for what it is.
A shame, because we would go back if we wouldn’t have left starving after having dropped $100+ per person.

Food was great! But service was not, one strange comment from the server ruined the whole evening for me. And I did not recognize some dishes in the menu even with the description.

so pretentious, for mediocre food, bad attitude from servers
Outstanding meal. A 5-star experience on Roncy. Diners will not be disappointed in this chef's creations.

I am so attached to this place now even I don’t live around the neighborhood, parking is easy and the place is so unique with a warm atmosphere. Food is excellent and well presented towards satisfying your cravings, simply cannot ask for more. The service is really great with all the recommendations clearly explained. Full score and no stars can be used to reflect the overall satisfaction at least from me and my family.

Had such a wonderful dinner here tonight and will be recommending it to people! Every bite we had was perfect and everything was so delicious and well balanced. Service was quick and attentive and I’m obsessed with the vibe and the subtle cat theme. I would come again and again

Went here for my birthday yesterday.
I’ve been following the stop story re: fire and reopening and it was on my list of places to get to.
BLEW MY MIND
Everything was delicious and our server was awesome
I pulled a sneaky and didn’t tell my wife what sweetbreads were and she loved them… but after the bill came and I told her, she agreed she wouldn’t have tried them if she had known what they were lol
Great plates for sharing and would 100% go back and have already recommended it to others
Definitely get the honeycake and trust me it’s waaaay less sweet than you are expecting in a good way.
When I hear honey dessert I think of Gulab Jamun which is an Indian dessert but waaaaay too sweet for me… this cake was not that.

Truly the best restaurant in Toronto. Not just because the food is heartfelt, honest and seasonal, but because the staff and owner are cool as hell and if you get to experience this place, you’re lucky! :)

I loved this place.
Food was great but portions are tiny. Almost $200 for 4 tiny dishes, one glass of wine, and one beer. Won't come back unless they increase the size of the portions. Very disappointing.
