Agreed with some of the other reviewers about nose: it’s too loud for intimate music. It doesn’t identify as either a place to dance or a place for fine dining and music but somewhere in between. Service was non existent / slow. People were mooching in their seats. Some seats you cannot see the band.

Honestly the place is really nice. The server amazing. The show very nice. The food I would not recommend in my opinion if your looking for a good vibe and drink with a nice live show I highly recommended it. But food wise I recommend going somewhere else. There is also a $10 entry fee.

3 of us booked for dinner last Saturday. Tables are small and not much space between them. The band were good and did 3 sessions. Menu choice bit limited but what we had was good.

If you’re looking for a great date night spot with live jazz music, the reservoir lounge is one to check out. The atmosphere is very intimate & the live band when we visited was so good! The food as well is great as they can all be shared & they have a good selection of drinks. I’d recommend reserving a table in advance as this place does fill up fast, & there is a cash only cover charge of $10 per person. They do have an atm if you don’t have cash on you & a coat check! The gentlemen at the door was kind enough to let me leave my umbrella in the coat check so I don’t have to worry about it at my seat.

We had a fantastic time at this lounge—it’s the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a great evening. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance stood out: stylish, modern, and effortlessly relaxing. The lighting, music, and overall vibe created a laid-back yet upscale atmosphere that made it easy to settle in. There’s was cover fee $10p/p at the front which goes to the band, definitely worth it.

The service was top-notch. The staff was professional, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive. A special Thank you to the front desk staff who helped us get the best seats❤️
They made great recommendations and ensured our experience was smooth from start to finish.

The drink menu was impressive, with a wide variety of wines, and premium spirits as well as non alcoholic drinks. 🍹🍷🍻
We especially enjoyed the oysters 🦪 which was perfectly balanced and refreshing. There was also plenty of delicious small plates and bites that paired beautifully with our drinks.

Overall, I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. Great service, amazing food, and a lovely setting—what more could you ask for? 💎

I came to Toronto this past weekend to celebrate my sister’s engagement and was so looking forward to bringing her to The Reservoir Lounge. While the music was absolutely wonderful, the waitress who served our table was anything but. I feel compelled to leave this negative review (though this will be my first time ever doing so) as I have never seen my loved ones treated so distastefully and so aggressively by any member of staff before. In this, The Reservoir Lounge has no parallel.

For context, our table of 5 decided to order two coffees and a mocktail instead of food because we came back from our bachelorette party dinner celebration not long ago. When booking our reservation, we noted the statement on their website that read, “We *suggest* a minimum $20 food spend per guest.” Let this be a warning to any future guests that this is not a suggestion but an enforced policy.

About an hour or two into the night, the waitress came up to us on the dance floor and said we need to order food to reach the minimum $20 payment per guest. When we sat back down at our table to look over the menu, she came by once more and curtly asked us when we would buy food since, again, there was this policy that each person must pay a minimum of $20. When my friend pointed out that this was not made more clear on their website, and was therefore unreasonable to now demand a minimum payment from us, the waitress became even more argumentative, citing her manager and how this was necessary for a business to stay profitable, doggedly escalating the issue beyond what was necessary, especially as basic problem-solving and decorum would have sufficed.

We completely understand that customers should order from the menu when taking up a table at an establishment (hence why we ordered drinks). Had we been more hungry, we certainly would have ordered food - but we simply were so full, and ordering $100 worth of food, only to not eat it, was not something we envisioned doing when coming here. We were happy to give up our table so other guests could be seated instead, but this should have been recommended as a solution by the waitress far earlier in our interaction.

Let me make another thing clear. We completely empathize with how waitstaff are treated (especially with us having worked - or currently working - in customer service roles ourselves). We understand how servers have to unfairly deal with unreasonable and rude guests all the time. However, we were disheartened by how a member of staff could conduct herself with such an utter lack of human decency and kindness; we were met with impatience, combativeness, and general contempt where problem-solving and collaboration would have been not only more appreciated, but more appropriate. What really should have been a beautiful memory for my sisters and I became something so appalling because of this encounter.

I hope The Reservoir Lounge can learn from this by revising their website to say “We *require* a minimum $20 food spend per guest” instead of “suggest”, by disclosing this policy as soon as guests enter through their doors to get seated at their reserved tables, and training their staff on how to handle pushback with more grace and class.

My two cents: Rather than being so concerned about a $20 minimum fee per guest to stay profitable, I invite worthwhile reflection on how good customer service may do a better job in meeting that end.

I recommend visitors in Toronto skip out on this one and visit more friendly jazz bars in the area. I certainly could never, in good conscience, recommend anyone I love come here.

We stopped by this jazz restaurant last night hoping for a nice night of live music but unfortunately it fell short. The stage is really tiny and just minutes after the singer started people without seats crowded right in front of the tables blocking everyone’s view.
They also charge a $15 entrance fee, cash only and the ATM inside didn’t look very trustworthy so I’d recommend bringing cash or sticking to a bank outside. The food itself was okay but overpriced for the small portions and the drinks weren’t cheap either.

On top of that, the place was far too crowded for its size and the singer, while talented was just too loud for such a small space. Overall, the atmosphere wasn’t comfortable and we couldn’t really enjoy the live jazz we came for. It’s a fun idea, but it really needs better setup and organization.

I gave 2 star only for the food and the portion of the food was way too small we only visited for the food and the jazz bar honestly didn't meet my expectations, the stage is really tiny and soon as the singer started people without seasts crowded in front of the tables blocking everyone's view the place is too small for so many people and the singer was much too loud for such space. The food tested fine but the portions were very small for what you pay. Overall it was so crowded and poorly arranged that we couldn't enjoy the music at all i didn't take a photo of the food but it was 50 dollar only for the small portion and each beer was 13 dollar doesn't matter which type and the entrance was 15 dollar each so I don't really recommend this place for jazz and food

We went to this jazz restaurant last night but the experience was disappointing a bit! The stage was too small and people without tables stood in front of others blocking the view. It was also too crowded for such a small place and the singer was far too loud for the space. The food was fine but the portions were small too!! Overall, the atmosphere was uncomfortable and we couldn’t really enjoy the music we came for. you can see in the photo how crowded it was just minutes after the singer started. It was way too packed for such a small place! And then the video you can see how crowded was…each person was around 50 for food only and 15 dollar for the entrance!

If you’re looking for a truly romantic and unique night out, you should definitely visit this restaurant — especially when they have live music.

The band was absolutely amazing and added so much charm to the atmosphere. Prices were reasonable too. It was quite busy, so the servers couldn’t always keep up, but honestly, the positive vibe and beautiful ambiance made up for it completely.

Highly recommend this place for a special evening out.
