The Wheat Sheaf Tavern Reviews
Service was terrible. Would give a 1 star if I could.
Don’t recommend. They advertise free cover before 10pm. When we got there at 9:45pm we were told to pay. The bouncers were unprofessional.
My band Chic ‘N Waffles plays at The Wheatsheaf Tavern on Saturdays . Awesome 😎 live venue, staff and crowd!

The Wheat Sheaf Tavern, Toronto's oldest bar, offers a warm and authentic Canadian tavern experience. Friendly staff, including manager Amanda, provide excellent service. Guests can enjoy great beer, including non-alcoholic options, and experience live music. The menu features good quality, portioned dishes at a fair price, making it a highly recommended spot. Visitors often comment on the friendly atmosphere and helpful staff, with some noting the Irish bartender's kindness and the quality of drinks like the dirty martini. The wings are highly praised for being crispy and flavorful, especially when on special. While the food is generally okay and better than expected for a pub, some guests mention the bill-splitting policy can cause confusion. Overall, the tavern remains a popular place to pop in for drinks, live music, and a friendly environment.
