Came here for my girlfriend's birthday, it was fantastic! Our server was very welcoming, kind and accommodating through the night. Loved that she intro'd each dish as she brought it out. I love a restaurant with unique menu items, the creativity and passion of the chef did not disappoint! Everything was delicious. Ricotta dumplings and lobster Bao were the standouts, fun combination of ingredients. Mousse and matcha ice cream was a great finisher, not too sweet! I appreciate the non-tipping policy but it was one of those dinners where I felt a tip was needed as applause.

It was my first trying out this restaurant and all I can say are spectacular, the vibe and food especially and the customer service are top tier. 4/5. Thanks for Kacy our server that night she was very friendly and she made sure that me and friends get what we needed. I was shocked that theres no tipping. I will definitely come back here.

Shaun's Diner

A cozy place to dine with too notch service and food. Upon arrival, we were among the first guests to dine in today. Greeted with warm welcomes and such a pleasant experience with the staff and chef (3 person show running the restaurant) throughout. We were given outstanding service, one that would only be expected in a more posh environment. Now to the food, we had the beef tartare, risotto, steak frites and matcha ice cream to finish. Before apps, we were given a complimentary shot of cocktail mix as well as a Polaroid pic taken by the staff for valentines week (also got a bottle of sparkling wine on the house for a no phones out during dinner). The beef tartare was good with more of an Asian take to it. There wasn’t the usual egg yolk in this version, but rather served with some sesame seeds, and crispy noodles on top (similar to that of my hometown Tomato Noodles in Kuching, Sarawak). It was crunchy, salty and acidic without any of it overpowering one another. The risotto is an interesting take and to be honest, not my style but still admirable to those who want to venture a different take to it. It’s more acidic than the standard creamy risotto, served with steamed bok choy, fried shallots and some barley. The steak frites is hands down, the most delicious, juiciest, charred and perfectly done medium rare beef sliced up nicely like a deck of cards laid out. I don’t enjoy eating steak outside that much because most restaurants don’t do it right / the way I enjoy it. But this, just done every bit to my liking. The char was on point, the flaky salt to finish perfect to the tongue, the butter mixture to top it off is a nice touch to bring it the flavours of the beef more. Definitely going in my top lists of places to go back to for steak without complaining about it later lol. Oh forgot to mention, red wine was complimentary for the steak as part of their promo ?.All in all, a very pleasant experience and will definitely go back to taste the mushroom dishes that were not available today. Might try the glass noodle dish instead next time. Thank you for the great experience and yummy food. It’s difficult to get decent quality meals nowadays with the restaurant boom in Toronto. Terima Kasih!

We came in during valentine’s week, and raved about the incredible experience we had the whole way home. The owner welcomed us, took our coats and challenged us to a night of phone free dining in exchange for a free bottle of wine as part of their valentine’s day experience. Our incredible server walked us through the menu and made us feel at home. half way through our meal, the owner checked in on us, and took a polaroid picture of us to take home as a keepsake. The food was amazing, and the non-alcoholic drinks creative. Incredibly hospitable and generous, we were made to feel right at home. We will be recommending this place to friends and family. Do yourself a favour and try it out!

My boyfriend and I went here last weekend on a whim and thought it was an EXCELLENT little gem. We were impressed with the food and the service (especially cuz they dont expect a tip) so that was refreshing from typical Toronto dining. Food was an interesting blend of Asian and American. We only got one main but the apps list looked so good we couldn't say no. Some highlights were the salmon, the ricotta dumplings and the best of the best: the lobster bao. Get two. Mouth watering. Our waitress was awesome...made sure our wine was always a-flow, very personable etc.We go out almost every weekend so take it from me---this is one of the good ones.

Had the opportunity in dining here with my boyfriend and had absolutely no regrets. Some of the most unique (but brilliant) cocktails we’ve had and the food was just perfect. Highly recommend trying the scallops they were a personal favorite. Eric was really welcoming from the moment we came in to the moment we left. The service was just unbeatable. When we come back to Toronto we’ll definitely be stopping by again !
