Great, fresh, tasty authentic Italian food with friendly service. A recipe for success all the time!
The food was excellent. Service was amazing. All staff were friendly, cheerful and attentive. Will definitely be back
The food isnt what I remember it to be like. Mind you, its been about ten years so I get it, things change. The lasagna barely had any meat in it. Kinda felt like a slap in the european face for the amount that was charged. The service was okay. I felt like I was being served on by disinterested waitstaff.
Food was really bad. Calamari in the seafood pasta was rubbery. Hostess was non existent. Was standing in the restaurant for 10 minutes before being acknowledged. Will not return. Tourist trap.
I booked a reservation at Taverniti for my birthday dinner on August 31 and had one of the most disappointing dining experiences I have ever had anywhere in the world. We arrived at 6:50 pm for a 7:00 reservation and stood at the entrance waiting to be acknowledged. Staff said they would be with us shortly, but it was very clear they were understaffed and unorganized. At one point, a server walked by mentioning a table that could be cleaned, and when I tried to explain that we had a reservation, she ignored me and continued walking. The frustrating part was that we could clearly see our table sitting ready the entire time. By 7:10, more than 20 minutes later, another server finally asked if anyone had spoken to us. When I said we had a reservation, she simply responded “Oh” and only then took us to our table. We sat down already irritated but tried to salvage the evening and make the best of it. We placed an order for bread, pizzas, and pastas, and then nothing happened. No bread arrived, no one came by to refill water, and no one offered to take drink orders. The table seated after us not only had their order taken quickly but were also served their food before we received anything. By 7:50, nearly thirty minutes after we placed our order, there was still no food on the table. My friend flagged down our server to ask for an update. She looked confused, said she would check, and then went to the back where we saw her discussing something but not returning with an explanation. Finally, at 8:10, the first dish arrived, a single pasta. At that point, I cancelled the bread and told my friends I was done. I paid cash for the entire table and left my own birthday dinner just as the pizzas were being delivered. To make matters worse, my sister's pasta was undercooked and confirmed by everyone at the table. My friends commented that the pizzas were decent, but the damage was already done. This experience ruined what should have been a special birthday celebration.
We had a great Calabrese pizza and good penne a la vodka. Prices were reasonable. Homely decor.
First time here. Always love supporting family own restaurants. I went with a party of 8 for dinner, my food was the Arancinis and the pappardelle della nonna pasta, and both were delicious and highly recommend. Some had other pasta dishes and didn't have enough sauce, which tasted dry. But overall, it is a great place!

Great Italian style pizza with thin paste and tasty ingredients. Nice and efficient service.Music was a little bit too loud, but nothing dramatic.

Vegerterians - please try the Aglio olio Pasta, the best I had in the city. The basil sauce pizza was amazing too!
If you're looking for a typical red checkered tabled Italian restaurant, this is it. It gives you the atmosphere of an Italian restaurant that you'd see in the movies and TV shows. There are a few vegetarian options and a gorgeous wood burning pizza oven that you can admire.

We came to the restaurant with high expectations: at first glance, the place looked cozy and atmospheric. We were allowed to choose our own table, settled in, and looked through the menu. Once we were ready to order, no one came to take it for another 15 minutes. Three staff members were standing around, seemingly free, but just kept looking at each other instead of helping us.
Eventually, our order was taken, but then we had to wait about 30 more minutes for the food to arrive. The atmosphere was also ruined by the music constantly cutting in and out, which felt very unpleasant. And when the pizza finally came, it was completely burnt around the edges.
Overall, very disappointing experience, poor service, poor atmosphere, and poor food. Not recommended.

The pizza came out burned, and we waited 40 minutes just to get our food. On top of that, it took 15 minutes for someone to even take our order, and there were only two other tables in the restaurant. The service was absolutely terrible.
