It’s not the worst banh mi I had, but far from the best. Sandwich is on the smaller side and the pate doesn’t have a lot of flavor. The bakery buns were cheap and fresh. The viet ice coffee was watered down :/

I have been coming to this place for years. The banh mi sandwichs are one of the best I have ever had in the city. The buns are always fresh and cut, I love the veggies which include cilantro. They always remember my order. Excellent customer service!

Good selection for asian buns. The sandwiches are very delicious and coffee is good too.
Five stars for chicken buns and banh mi. Bread is always crispy and fresh. A lot of the other buns have underwhelming filling but chicken buns are always great.
The owners are always in a great mood every time I visit, and it seems genuine. Smiling is as natural to them as frowning is to everyone else. It is refreshing.

I have been debating whether I should review Tung Hing Bakery.
On the one hand, they have the best egg tarts in Toronto, south of Finch, and are almost always sold out by 10:30am. There's a line up for their Bahn Mi starting around 11am. They are consistently friendly.
On the other other hand, more people will find out about this place, further limiting my access to their egg tarts.
Although there are a couple options for egg tarts in the area (Phoenix bakery, or the dim sum restaurant nearby), both options do not compare to Tung Hing's incredibly buttery and flaky offerings. If you plan on buying any after 11am, it's recommended you call ahead in the morning and ask them to set some aside for you.

This is my go to place for Bahn Mi and it is very good and excellent pricing. I visited today and it already closed by 4pm since they sold out l. They have kept their pricings over the years - affordable, which brings them enough returning customers. Mauve other business can learn from this to avoid being boycotted for their prices. At this point, some businesses need a reality check. I recommend this place.
