We stopped at the cafe hoping for a drink and a snack. Their website says they have gluten free options but the only thing they had was gluten free bread for sandwiches. Zero gluten free sweets. It was a warm day so I ordered an iced coffee and a piece of red velvet cake. The iced coffee was clearly hot coffee poured over ice that immediately melted, leaving a luke warm non-iced drink. I ordered the red velvet cake because I have never had it before. It was a mistake. The whole cake had been sliced into previously and my slice was not fresh. Moisture from the icing had gone into the cake leaving a soggy mess. It was pretty much inedible. While in the restaurant I used the restroom which looked like it had not been properly cleaned in some time. There was a trim edge on the wall next to the sink that had a layer of brown gunk.
I had a hard time choosing my sweet treat, there were so many options! But, the Apple Danish was quite good. I’d love to stop in for lunch sometime to try the Danish Paté Sandwich.
the food is very good. but I struggle to reach them by phone. am surprised because I was the only customer on a Tuesday Evening, so am not sure why messages were not answered
I love Danish style sandwiches and was pleased to see this place on happy cow. I got the Danish pâté sandwich. It was very flavorful. I’m not sure what the pate was made of but it seemed to have a grain or oatmeal as a component. The mustard was kinda sweet, which isn’t my favorite, but overall I thought it was very good, and I would come back if I needed a small bite.
Somehow I’ve never been here after coming to Toronto for the last 20 years. Wide selection of pastries and savory items. I really liked the inside of the cafe…plenty of seating. Very friendly owners. One of the best danishes I’ve ever had. Updated from previous review on 2025-08-25
What a treat to find genuinely delicious vegan cheesecake! The cookies and cherry danish were so tasty too!
Great bakery with lots of cakes and pastries to choose from. Had a Danish pastry which was delicious. Updated from previous review on 2025-07-18
Vegan Danish Bakery offers rich, decadent desserts in a regal tea room-like setting. We ordered a chocolate croissant, a cherry danish, cookies, and cappuccinos. The Danish cookies shine through and bring back memories of blue tins on Christmas. Vegan Danish Bakery's version surpasses the store-bought cookie. The cherry danish was another star of the visit. The tart "cream cheese" balances wonderfully with the sweet cherry topping, and the flaky, moist pastry holds it all in place. Vegan Danish Bakery is a great stop with many more exciting choices.
Der Geschmack von dem BLT und dem breakfast sandwich sind total krass am Original dran. Der Kuchen und cupcakes sind auch sehr lecker, also kann ich nur empfehlen!
Great vegan breakfast sandwich and baked goods, in a quiet and serene location. Highly recommend!

I’ve had the carrot cake before and was really looking forward to it again. Sadly, it was sticky and bland…zero carrot cake flavour 😔 Service was good though
This was an absolute delightful experience! The food was amazing, the AC on point, and the staff so patient and lovely! We eat the food too fast to take a photo!
Vegan paradise
I came here for two iced chai lattes and a was served luke warm, watered down milk. We informed the barista that our lattes did not have any flavour and he offered to remake them, stating he perhaps “didn’t steep them long enough”.
He brought back out the same cups a couple of minutes later with no change in the flavour. He did not offer a refund, and we left having wasted $12 with no lattes.
I've come here for breakfast a few times and it's always been amazing. I had their ultimate breakfast today and it was awesome.
