Succulent mom-made food that you cannot find anywhere else in the GTA. Very highly recommended.

We went here recently for the first time after having lived in the area for years. I was pleasantly surprised at the warmth of the place and the service. The food was also very nice! I’ll definitely be going back again

Amazing restaurant tucked away just off of Yonge Street. Very friendly staff and a pleasant, peaceful atmosphere. Came for lunch and really enjoyed the chicken fatteh. Definitely stop into this place for a great meal.

We found Zezafoun under the most fortuous circumstances: we were driving up Yonge Street towards Eglinton looking for a cool restaurant to visit, we saw this whimsical place when we stopped at a light and the decision was made on the spot.

What a wonderful decision that was! This place has everything that I look for: mom & pop owned, unique cuisine offerings, a chilled vibe and great food.

Zezafoun is owned by real Syrians who can articulate how each dish is unique in the context of Syrian cuisine. One of the waitresses is very well connected: the cook is her grandmother, and the owner is her aunt. The wait staff is knowledgeable, pleasant and efficient.

The restaurant is intimate and very comfortable. The minute we walked in, the smell and decor told us right away that we would be having a great meal there. It is that kind of a place.

The menu really spoke to us, and we wanted to order every item on it. It is definitely a place that requires multiple visits to truly enjoy all the dishes.

The food is both unique and exquisite. The red pepper and walnut appetizer was outstanding. Before I knew it I went through half a pita eating this dip.

The eggplant wrapped beef was phenomenal! We love eggplants and this dish checked all the right boxes. So much so that we ordered another dish of rice just to finish the gravy.

The cherry beef was amazing. It may sound odd but the unique blend of almond, cherry, beef and cilantro was intoxicating. It went really well with pita.

The cocktails were unusual and yet ever so wonderful. The Syrian tea was very nice and sweet. The saffron chai was to die for. The dessert was one-of-a-kind!

Will come back again!

I had been wanting to visit this mother daughter-operated Syrian place for sometime and I was grateful that I did. Very nice people and a very satisfying healthful cuisine. Lots of lentils and greens and very tasty I liked it a lot and will go back.

I really liked Zezafoun—really nice family run restaurant with creative and healthful cuisine. Excellent use of lentils and greens though not a vegetarian place. Very tasty dishes with ingredients distinct to the Syrian culture. I look forward to returning to try other dishes, like the cherry-marinated kabobs. Give this one a try. I'm sure you'll find it very rewarding.

The food is good. However, I was given a non itemized receipt as a bill and charged around 30 dollars more. After paying I had to go and ask for an itemized receipt which they didn’t have and after checking they relized they charged me for someone else’s drink. Ig I don’t go and doble check I would be paying for drinks I didn’t even had.

Cozy restaurant with an incredible food that is only matched by their customer service.
Wife and I visited Zezafoun for the first time for lunch and loved our experience. The restaurant has a very cozy vibe to it and the interiors have murals and art that reflect the origin of the owners.
If you like meals that remind you of home and servers that are knowledgeable about food and their associated culture, definitely check out Zezafoun.
And don't miss the Ghazali icecream.

I visited the restaurant with my boyfriend. The girl looked very slow and not professional. Portions were very small, no taste, and overprice. I will never go there again, and do not recommend to anyone

An authentic Syrian culinary experience in the heart of Toronto. Home cooked food, tastes exactly like my grandmothers, the ambience is cozy and elegant, great play list and the service is a true Syrian hospitality. Absolutely amazing. Looking forward to going back .
