Placed an order at 12pm on Uber eats to be picked up at 5. The order was confirmed by Deer Cake shortly after. They then cancelled my order at 5:02pm. When I confronted them, they said they only got the notification at 5, which was a lie because they confirmed the order at 12.

My bestie got me a custom cake and were absolutely blown away by the result! The craftsmanship was stunning, the design was elegant, detailed, and beautifully finished. The branded theme and the adorable golden figure on top were done with such care and precision. It looked even better in person than in photos!
Not only was the cake visually impressive, but it also tasted amazing. The texture was soft and moist, and the flavour was perfectly balanced without being overly sweet. You can tell they use quality ingredients and really put heart into their work~ A beautifully designed and delicious custom cake shop.

Cake tasted good and interesting. However, it was disappointed because on my husband’s birthday cake, they wrote “happy” without the “y”. How is it possible for that mistake? It might not be a lucky sign for some people, glad we were ok with it.

We ordered cakes online two days ago for a 12PM pick up for a birthday today, and because their cakes are made offsite, when my partner went to pick up, there ended up being a 40 minute wait for our order to arrive. The storeowner or whoever was at the counter said at first that it's cause it's long weekend, so there’s a bit of delay, though there wasn't anyone else waiting for an order. Eventually she mentioned that their driver had left the food prep location around noon.
They compensated with a free drink but it feels like a bandaid solution. I wish they could’ve been more upfront about the wait time instead.

Made an online order about a week ahead of time for my dad's birthday. Located in the T&T Supermarket plaza (directly across from T&T, next to the entrance towards South Unionville), it is very difficult to find parking. If you're just doing a pickup like me, it'll be easier for you to just temporarily park by the curb and go in. Picking up was very quick and easy - I was in and out within minutes. Just remember to have your phone number ready!
They have pretty interesting flavours but this time got the Matcha Red Bean Mochi Cake. The matcha flavours were good and not too sweet, and complimented the red bean nicely. I did really enjoy the mochi layer. The cake itself was also very light. I don't really know what the things on top of the cake were (dried figs?) but we didn't eat them, so not sure if they're edible. I'm usually the cake-person for my friends and family, and I definitely will be ordering from here again, especially to try the other flavours. 10/10 would come again!
Tip: my cake came with a sparkler. I didn't get a choice in candle, so beware!

A clean, little cake shop carrying yummy dessert pastries, visited a few times, our favorite items are their $38 mini cakes, and their mochi, which can be finished all at once, shared among 3-4 of us. Very importantly, it typically closes at 10pm, so its very convenient when we suddenly want to have dessert after dinner.

I have been ordering (UberEats) the bento style strawberry cake from Deer Cake multiple times! Their cake is AMAZING and super consistent with the taste! Not only is the cake not too overly sweet, but the sponge cake is soft and moist, the whipped cream is light with a touch of sweetness, plus they’re not skimpy on the strawberries. My dad is a HUGE lover of strawberry shortcake and always requests this cake. I have yet to try their other cakes, but I can’t wait to do so! Please come and visit this bakery, you’ll thank me if you do so! Amazing job Deer cake ☺️🩷
