Still the same great food after four years, and I'll definitely be back again.

Very disappointing experience. The pork in the rice noodle roll had a distinctly sour taste. I can’t say for certain whether it was spoiled, but it definitely didn’t taste fresh.

The clay pot rice was another letdown. It was almost all rice, with barely any toppings. The pork ribs were mostly cartilage with very little meat. For the price they charge, the quality and value were extremely poor.

Overall, the food was far below expectations, definitely won’t be coming back.

STILL our favourite place for Chinese Casserole Rice spot in Markham✨A MUST GET in our books here is their Olive Veg & Beef on Rice (Add a Raw Egg and thank me later!!). The Olive Veg adds so much umami to the tender Beef slices and Rice, mixed with Raw Egg and their Sweet Soy, so BOMB! Preserved Meat & Minced Pork had mixed Chinese Preserved Meats, all that on top of their Minced Pork Patty, it was lovely as well😋

We visited this place on the recommendation from our friends from Hong Kong. The taste was authentic. The place was replicates the same vibe.

Its not a fancy place but food tastes amazing. We tried the 4 treasure rice bowl which had 4 different kinds of meat. It came with a soup and some greens.

Highly recommend the shrimp rice noodles. It was so fresh.

IMPORTANT: Cash is the preferred mode of payment.

We had to place online order in order to pay via card.

I was craving some clay pot rice that day, so my friend picked a restaurant for us. Later, he admitted he’d actually led us to the wrong place 🥲. The service was mediocre, and while the food wasn’t terrible, it wasn’t good either.

We ordered quite a few dishes to try, but none of them met our expectations. The clay pot rice was hard and lacked flavor. The fried squid wasn’t crunchy and tasted bland. Both the fish and the stir‑fried beef dishes were just average.

When we arrived, the restaurant wasn’t busy, but by the time we left, it had filled up. Still, the overall experience didn’t impress me. I don’t think I’d return.

Ordered 4 items - the chicken and mushroom, bbq eel and duck, and octopus and minced pork, as well as the rice roll with shrimp.

None of the rice bowls were crispy, the octopus and minced pork was the most soggy.
The soup was cold and flavorless and the rice rolls came out cold. The waitress blamed it on us and said it was because of the soy sauce when the food itself was already cold.

The price of the food was affordable but the service and quality of the food was awful.

Having a warm claypot meal on a cold day really hits the spot. In fact i was so hungry and eager that i didnt even take a picture of the original presentation. When taking into account the price and what you get it's a great deal.

As for atmosphere, this is no fancy restaurant. It's one of those hole in the wall types. But you can see it's one where people can comfortably eat without ceremony.

This place is really cramped and crowded. We sat at the small half table in front of the cashier and barely had enough room for our food.

The claypot rice was disappointing. It was way too oily, and because they were rushing out the orders, it did not have time to form any crispy rice at the bottom.

The free soup and veggie they give you are bland and overcooked.
