Having a warm claypot meal on a cold day really hits the spot. In fact i was so hungry and eager that i didnt even take a picture of the original presentation. When taking into account the price and what you get it's a great deal.

As for atmosphere, this is no fancy restaurant. It's one of those hole in the wall types. But you can see it's one where people can comfortably eat without ceremony.

This place is really cramped and crowded. We sat at the small half table in front of the cashier and barely had enough room for our food.

The claypot rice was disappointing. It was way too oily, and because they were rushing out the orders, it did not have time to form any crispy rice at the bottom.

The free soup and veggie they give you are bland and overcooked.

Generous portions for a very, very good price. I got the preserved meat & bbq eel casserole. It came with a Chinese stewed soup. Service was pretty good/fast. I would want to come here more often if I lived closer and/or parking wasn’t so bad in this plaza.

It’s a cozy little store with ~8 booth seats and ~6 smaller, two-person tables.

The style of rice in a pot is excellent. You have all the traditional Chinese topping choices. Quality versus price, it can't be beaten for the quality of the food. I highly recommend taking a detour to enjoy yourself.

The worst restaurant

The worst service from a female boss in the world! So what if I don’t speak Cantonese? Does that mean you won’t talk to me just because I don’t speak Cantonese? The service attitude is extremely terrible. Moreover, I’ve been cheated for years. I always order sausage rice with extra sausages, but they overcharge me every time, and the amount of meat they give is the same as other places that don’t add extra meat. They’ve been scamming me for so many years! I’m really furious, and I will never eat at this place again!

I went there to pick up orders a few times. I have to say even though Casserole Rice is tasty imo but the female server I met in the store is extremly rude and dismissive. The only word she'd say is 'number?' and will either yell at you with that word again if you try to ask her some questions or if you answer her, she only points her finger to the meal package then quickly walk away to show how she couldn't care less about you or her job. defintely NOT gonna go there again or recommend this store to anyone.
