This is a truly hidden gem. We were a bit skeptical at first since it's a part of motel, but we decided to give it a try and oh boy were we in for a treat. Hot, fresh and yummy tom yum filled with chicken, prawns and vegetables that was the perfect soothing meal our throats craved, followed by Veg fried rice and Chicken with Mixed Vegetables. Our stomachs were full and so were our hearts. This is a place you cannot miss if you are craving something that feels like a nourishing meal. 5 stars.
And the staff were the sweetest and so very helpful that it is worth coming back for more. We hope to stop by on our way home.

This is located just down the road from our place. we thoroughly enjoy going there to celebrate family events and bring it on home back to our place on a casual week night. There is no other Chinese food place that hits a spot like this

Amazing Food!!!!😋
Called Gold Palace before driving an hour from my trailer to this place. Explained to the owner/ cook on the phone that it was my first time ordering food at the restaurant and that I love real Chinese Food not the Canadianized version. I’m a foodie, love to cook and am a bit of a critique. My meal was outstanding!!
Large portion, reasonably priced and delicious !!!!! Ordered Singapore Noodles lots of meat, shrimp and veg, perfectly spiced not too hot with a hint of currie.. yummm.
Shrimp with Lobster sauce and steamed rice.
Umami, savory minces pork in a delectable gravy with lots of decent sized shrimp, so good. Perfectly crispy flavorful chicken wings!! Great Wonton soup broth was perfect did not need soya sauce and had a large portion of huge, juicey pork Wontons. Salt and pepper pork with onions and peppers soo good.
I honestly could not stop eating this food.
So worth the drive. I am on holiday and didn’t feel like cooking. What a treat!!
Thank- you to Gold Palace!!
I’m always wary about small town Chinese Restaurants as they can sometimes cater to local Canadian bland palets.
This owner was very friendly and took alot of pride in preparing this food.
Very convenient right off HWY 11 North Bound Washago.
100% Reccommend!!😊🙏 I will be back

Picked up combo 4 and combo 6 the lemon chicken was a few tiny slices of flat chicken never seen it done this way and the combo 6 had only 3 dried out chicken balls . Buyer beware you will not be happy with your meal.

This has been our spot for a while now. We decided to order tonight and ordered Cantonese chowmein along with some other items. The Cantonese chow mein came with NO sauce and was not fried or crispy noodles. It was literally spaghetti with meat and veggies. When we called to explain the situation the employee made it seem like it was our fault that we didn’t ask for it to be fried. We have ordered Chinese food MANY times and have never had to ask for this dish to be fried. Super underwhelming and honestly kind of ruined our dinner.

I placed an order with this company on the 28th march online it’s now the 8th April they cancelled the order due to no drivers apparently. And I still haven’t been refunded they are so rude and totally unprofessional in the manner they speak to customers .. they keep saying there is no one there who can help me it’s disgraceful to take money off my card and not deliver the order or refund me
The food here is really good!… we had the Wonton soup, egg rolls, lemon chicken and bbq pork Cantonese. I have to say the Wonton soup was the best I’ve ever had.. very flavourful and the wontons were cooked to perfection. I have to mention the egg roll I had was the best I’ve had in years. The man at the front was extremely personable and very diligent on serving us. This is my new go to place. Thanks you for a wonderful meal :)

You may think it’s just a motel but you’d be surprised! Food is always hot and fresh. Recommended the combo #4. You can tell that the produce is fresh and it is always cooked perfectly.

Haven't had in a while. They had great chicken wings. I will try it again
Great food and great portion sizes. We managed to get three meals out of our choices we ordered. It is a tad bit salty but ya can’t complain cause it’s tasty. Ask for hot sauce or bring your own (not sure if they have as we forgot to ask )

A Hidden Gem for Cottage-Bound Foodies
If you're looking for a quick and delicious bite before heading to the cottage, look no further than Gold Palace Chinese Restaurant. This unassuming Chinese takeout spot, conveniently located right off Highway 11, is a local gem that consistently delivers.
The portions here are truly generous, perfect for satisfying even the heartiest appetites. But it's not just about quantity; the quality is equally impressive. The wonton soup is a standout, with tender wontons filled with flavorful pork and a rich, comforting broth.
While the menu offers a variety of classic Chinese dishes, I always find myself drawn to the wonton soup, beef and broccoli and sweet and sour chicken balls. It's the perfect way to start a road trip or a cozy evening at your home or cottage.
If you're in the area, give Gold Palace Chinese Restaurant a try. You won't be disappointed!
