great prices, fast and friendly service. will for sure stop by again next time we come to st Jacob's!
The menu is broad and varied: there are diner-style breakfasts, classic comfort food (fish & chips, souvlaki, schnitzels, sandwiches), and enough variety that families with different tastes can usually find something they like.
Price-wise, I view it as reasonable for what you get (large portions + comfort-menu).
Don’t take reservations for groups under 6 people.
The ambience and décor are basic; it’s more a no-frills, functional place rather than somewhere stylized or trendy.

I enjoyed a nice lunch here at Jack’s Family Restaurant.
When I was parking I had found a perfect spot around the left side of the building. After I realized the parking was reserved for the furniture store attached to the restaurant. Even half of the front is dedicated to Chervin Furniture and design. I did finally find parking but the spots were filling up quickly even though I was earlier than the lunch rush (11:15am)
My waitress named Kelly was very nice and efficient.
She was helpful when I asked for her recommendation on the menu.
After we ordered our food it was ready very quickly.
I was very impressed because the restaurant was starting to get very busy.
I ordered the chicken dumpling soup and the Chicken Parmigiana. I expecially liked that it was grilled and not fried. It came with pasta and a garlic bread.
My dining companion ordered from the feature menu.
The sweet chilli chicken crunch wrap with coleslaw.
It was flavourful and the coleslaw was creamy with a little kick of horseradish.
We were both full or would have ordered dessert. I have heard the desserts are very delectable and fresh.
Hopefully next time.
The restaurant is decorated nicely for Christmas and I loved taking pictures with Charlie and Snoopy at the bar.
I hope to return again soon.

Loved this place. We were visiting from out of town and had plans to go to the Christmas train. Jack's was able to accommodate our large group at the last minute. The service was fast and the portions were generous. Everyone loved what they ordered. Will definitely be back anytime we are visiting the area again.

We got seated immediately. Our server was fantastic, and our food was good. The one thing I didn't like is the lighting is very dim where we were sitting in the corner. Mood wise the lighting is nice, but if I need to put the flashlight on the read the menu, I thinking better lighting would be nice.
Otherwise, great place!
