staff is 100% and very good food but last night I ordered fries instead of mashed potatoes with my pigtails and I got potatoes but it was still good but I would prefer getting what I ordered and also another person on our table got mashed potatoes instead of fries too and ordered fries🙃
We were there last October. It was delicious!! Great atmosphere! Great staff! Planning to go back soon!
I could've went to a local soup kitchen and got a better meal, 15 bucks for nachos and cheese, what little cheese they did put on was it was stuck to the bottom of the plate, not even on the chips. Got a bowl of canned chili (3rd of a can)with unbuttered toast as well for 8 bucks. Big waste of money.

The Olde Heidelberg Restaurant Tavern & Motel is a well-known place that has been serving traditional German fare for years. The restaurant features a cozy, vintage ambiance and quick, friendly service, making it a popular choice for casual family dinners. The star of the menu is the famous pork hock, which many customers find delicious—tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Some reviewers suggest adding chili sauce to enhance the dish. The smoked pig's trotters and sausages are also favorites, with the smoked pork being particularly well-liked for its smoky flavor. The restaurant is a good spot for families, offering a relaxed atmosphere and dishes that remind guests of authentic German comfort food. While some have noted that the pork hock skin isn’t always as crispy as expected and the smoky flavor can vary, it remains a favorite for many. The Olde Heidelberg is also a motel, making it a convenient stop for travelers visiting nearby attractions like St. Jacobs and Waterloo. Customers also recommend trying the wings on Thursday and the Dill Fries, which add a special touch to the meal.
