An easy 5 stars all round. The service was impeccable from start to finish. There was a little mix up with the time, but Jake smoothed things over and provided excellent service. Sara was our main server and provided an outstanding experience. Don't let her young age deceive you, she is an experienced worldly soul inside. They really made our night. The food and drink were just as amazing as the service. Do not come here expecting much of a pedestrian Malay food selection. Instead be prepared to have your perceptions of food and flavours challenged. Ever seen Muscovy duck on a menu? How about a pho cocktail? Jackfruit sorbet? All of our cocktails and dishes and desserts were delicious, playful, and unique, and the presentation was amazing. You could see that everything was created and presented with great care. Although there is a more expensive price tag that comes with this, it is not any more than other upscale restaurants, and the superior service, uniqueness, and experience actually make this a better value. They also have some great tasting menus at different times that offer some great options too. Parking lots are in the area a few steps away, and some are free in the evenings.

This is a top restaurant experience! That’s it. Service, staff, all the food and fantastic cocktails are a must try. Even if it takes you a bit to get there. Loloan in Waterloo is a hidden gem.

This spot is absolutely beautiful inside. Great spot for a date night or get together. Service is attentive and friendly, and the food is delicious! It's a great vibe here overall!

We ordered the duck dish and it’s not that tasty— very strong raw smell but extremely chewy like it’s overcooked, chopped duck on the side is over seasoned. Called staff but they said it’s normal, won’t go there again. Atmosphere is nice for a date night but yet you have much affordable and delicious options than this place.

Went here for our anniversary dinner and it was superb. Food was top notch and provided a very unique flavour profile. The drinks were also great and the mixologists that were helping us with our cocktails were solid.

The only thing to note is finding parking was a tad difficult, but not the worst.

Amazing spot with a very classy atmosphere. incredible east Asian inspired food. Rudy and Kevin have gotta be the best bartenders in town with a great selection of cocktails.

We had the opportunity to try Loloan for the first time and it was a unique experience for fine dining.

The atmosphere was lounge-like with an impressive bar area. Unfortunately because of the revolving door entrance in the winter time, the restaurant was a bit colder than we liked. The staff were prompt to let us know that they would increase the temperature and provide hot water with lemon which was helpful. The lighting could has also been a bit brighter, especially for those who want to photograph the display of dishes!

The menu was abundant with options from many southeast asian countries (Indonesian, Filipino, Cambodian, Thai and Vietnamese). Amongst the menu there were lots of options with tropical fruits like jackfruit and pork belly.

We ordered an appetizer and entree to share and two desserts as we were more intrigued with their dessert selection. I noted that we had a nut allergy and they were able to give us confidence that the meal was safe to eat even though most of the menu contained nuts. The banana flambe dessert was exciting to watch and tasted delicious. The mango sticky rice was beautifully presented and a perfect meld of creamy and sweet flavours.

Overall, the dessert was more exceptional than the meal itself. The entree flavours were good, but not phenomenal for the price point. However, the service was key to the experience, and I do think this location is great for an adventure in unique flavours that are harder to find in fine dining establishments around KW. With the proximity to the main Uptown strip, I believe this is still a great location for a date or somewhere to chat with a late night cocktail/dessert.

This place was amazing, truly an incredible eating experience. I’m filipino and loved the fusion of filipino flavours I know and love. A little on the pricey side, but food and portions were worth it. I was full by dessert. Would 100% recommend for a nice dinner out.

Amazing food and fantastic drinks - one of our favourite upscale/classy spots in uptown! Same owners as Bhima's Warung - which shows in the exotic and flavourful menu!

Had the opportunity to try the Hummingbird Fixed course menu for our anniversary and we were blown away!

From the first step into the restaurant, Jake made us feel like guests of honor without imposing. He has truly mastered the art of being present without being overbearing and beyond that, offered a lot of meaningful info as well as a calming vibe.

The food... THE FOOD! Each of the 4 courses was an incredible adventure. Perfectly timed, and each telling a very different story. My partner and I ordered differently for most of the courses and sharing bites was like taking a peak at a completely different celebration of flavour.

Each of the dishes was obviously created from the ground up and the taste made way only to the presentation.

We also had the opportunity to be the bartender's guinea pigs for a new drink. It was so apparent that this is someone who loves what they do for the right reason. Every drink was phenomenal and the experimental cocktail was a warm and smoky mix of fine tequilas that made me wish it was on the menu so I could order another. He informed us it will be available this weekend.

If you love food and appreciate ambiance as well as service, please dine here.

Literally to die for food. We had the fixed price course menu and literally every piece of it was better than I expected. Presentation, flavour, timing, everything. The loloan Bali cocktail I got was beautiful and probably the best cocktail I've ever ordered. The place is gorgeous and feels like you're at a fancy hotel in the 40's. They were even playing old jazz music which I loved. The server/host, Jake, was amazing and made us feel so special for our anniversary. Pricey but WORTH IT. Will be coming here again FOR SURE.

Came in for drinks and had a lovely time.

Our bartender was amazing, very helpful, and knowledgeable.

They have a wide variety of cocktails and drinks available. There's a section on the menu for zero proof cocktails, which was amazing to see.

We were too late to order food, but heard great recommendations about the menu, so we'll definitely be back.

The decor is 👌, the bar doesn't feel impersonal, and the stools are very comfortable.

A great spot in the heart of downtown!
