The vanilla milk shake I had here is th best milkshake I've ever had in my life. I loved the vibe, the food was amazing and they had great vegetarian options which made my life so much more easier. The service was incredible too. I wish we had Mel's dinner here in Manitoba. I can't recommend this place more.

The audacity to not only charge 21$ after everything for only three slices of French toast (normal sized bread btw), 1.5 slices of ham, and like two eggs that weren't even salted, but also claim that it's the staff favorite menu item-- I'm a bit speechless on this one. They even cheaped out on maple syrup opting for pancake syrup instead. The only thing going for them is that they're open earlier on the weekends.

Cute spot with a lot of food options for all times of the day. Saw someone try the giant burger challenge and I’m inspired to try it one day. Our group got the mojo bowl, the homemade soup, a sandwich, and the milkshake. Food was good but the waitress really made our day!

Great spot. Would absolutely be a frequent visitor if I loved in Waterloo. But I'll make it a point to go there when I'm in town.

Very vibey, staff are kind, food is good, albeit a bit pricey- but you get what you pay for. I recommend the milkshakes.

Usually very crowded with university students, music sometimes a bit too loud so cannot hear conversation. Food overall is good, only one time their meat loaf was barely warm. My go to is the turkey club, home fries and a side of gravy.

Had a small birthday get-together with friends here and absolutely loved it! The vibe was warm and welcoming, the food was amazing, and most importantly, Jenessa, who was taking care of us, was incredibly sweet and attentive. She made the whole experience even better. Really loved the energy of the place and would definitely come back!

Classic diner vibes, portions were generous, decor on point and the staff were lovely!
We were craving a true diner brekkie and we GOT one!! 💜 The service was outstanding, our main server was an absolute delight and the entire staff so attentive. Servings large and plentiful, unlimited coffee. Pleasantly surprised at the veggie options! They even have beyond meat sausage as an alternative which is a great touch.

I can’t lie, the milkshakes are great and the atmosphere is cool. The service was alright but the food was terrible. I found a huge piece of plastic probably 8cm long in my Caesar salad. When I confronted the staff about it, they laughed and made an excuse that it came from the pre made salad bag. Anyways, I will not come back and so will none of my friends.

Standard diner fare with a touch of retro and old charm. Food was priced average but also fair in regards to the taste and quantity served.
French toast was delish!
