the food is very expensive for the quality. my friends and i waited an exceptionally long time for the most mediocre meal of my life. $40 wasted.

We are currently guests at the Delta hotel and I called to order room service from Proof for my 8 year old daughter, who decided at 8:45pm she was hungry. There was no kids' menu on the room service tab, but we had been in the restaurant earlier this evening, so I knew they offered kids' meals. After multiple attempts at calling down (no answer), I finally spoke to a girl and asked her about ordering off of the kids' menu. She rudely told me I couldn't order anything unless I could prove there was a child in the room. Excuse me? I told her if she'd like proof, then feel free to have someone come and say hello to my hungry child sitting next to me. I then placed my order and she proceeded to tell me that they are very busy and my order was going to take up to an hour. It's a Monday night at 9pm and I ordered deep fried chicken fingers and fries - not quite sure why that would take an hour, but okay. Just beyond rude. Teach your staff to have some tact and be polite when dealing with customers. I've NEVER been asked for proof that a child is present when ordering a kids' meal.

Everything was delicious as always we celebrated our anniversary there and the service and complimente procesco toast and dessert made everything extra special!!!
Proof has never disappoints. The staff was accommodating to our needs and asks and service from our server was excellent. Matte I believe sorry of I got that wrong but he was excellent. Our group had a great time together and the service flowed smoothly.

We wanted to like this place but they kept making mistakes over allergy dishes then when we complained the manager we were overcharged they were very entitled and rude. We had visitors from out of town and they received very below par service. Really disappointing. I hope this manager gets a review because we can’t be the first person this has happened to.
Edit: I went back in to speak to the manager explaining my disappointment in what I had learned and how she had treated my sister, and after some soul searching she came out and apologised to my sister. I hope the experience weighed on her enough to never treat people like that again.

Took a while to be greeted when we entered the restaurant despite the fact that it was very quiet on a Sunday evening. We were seated in the main dining room. Our server was pleasant and gave food recommendations. The food was excellent. I had the Butter Chicken and my wife had the Coastal Seafood Risotto. We had a bottle of Niagara Region Riesling which was excellent but expensive. Negatives were that the dining room seemed to be overrun with flies which disturbed our dinner. The restaurant should consider installing ultraviolet fly catchers. When we finished the meal, we took our wine glasses and sat outside on the patio due to the warm weather. The patio was very tired with stained seat cushions, weeds growing up through the edges of the paving stones and garbage left behind on one of the chairs. They could do a lot more to tidy and improve the appearance and atmosphere of the patio.
