Great little pub to dine and drink, great seating outside on King directly in Uptown Waterloo and if those chairs are full they usually open the garage door which is pretty much the same atmosphere

The server did not tell us of the food or beer specials. The $5 pint was not available because the stock was out. We were only told this after asking even though it was on the web page. No substitute was offered for $5. Service was slow. I will not be going back.

First time here with my partner & it was so delicious. I got the fish & chips & he got the Mac & cheese in a bread bowl & we eneded up sharing the whole night.. fish tasted fresh & had the perfect crisp & the Mac was cheesy & filling in the best way. There was also a band playing which they did a sweet job, as a singer myself & just having done 2 performances the night prior - I was tempted to bless the stage 😄 💃🏾 Great vibe!
Only negative, it took a bit for our server to actually bring us a menu & when we wanted her attention my partner noticed she was on snapchat - lol do your thing always I get it but after you take our order please hehe.

There staff was no manners how to talk with the customer. They talk very rudely and disrespectful. They are very egoistic people. Salute 🫡 the manager and the owner to hire this type employee. I see your future was in very safe hands. Congratulations for your downfall step.

We ordered the daily special burger and fries or salad and fish tacos. Burger was good but we've had better fish tacos. Good daily deals on drinks. We plan on returning.

Overall, very disappointing experience. It may have been an off night but our waitress completely ignored us after she brought us food/drinks. She walked by us a total of 4 times without asking if we wanted a second drink (we did). There was no reason for this as the place was practically empty. We paid the bill and won't be back.
Come here after work. Great place for drinks. Terry is always great.

Great uptown pub. Fun live music when we were there on a Friday night. Service is always outstanding, barely got seated and a Guinness was in hand! Fish and chips are excellent as are the burgers. Scotch egg was OK. That said I have never had bad food or service after decades going to the Duke at the new and old locations.

Food is great and we have never had an issue. Started going to the Duke 35 years ago. It is a bit loud in the pub so conversations can be difficult.
