Placed my take out order at the front counter, the server almost charged me full price ($9) for the side of soup and I asked her to adjust it to the side pricing ($7 which is stilll very high for a small soup). She was able to fix the charges after getting some help.

Order the BLT (made into a wrap) with a side of the tomato soup. I was sad when I got back to my desk and noticed that the coleslaw and side of pickle was missing from my order but they gave me a slice of toast instead? Not sure why I was given the toast when I ordered the wrap and soup as a side. Would have rather had the sides that came with the wrap which I paid for.

Williams Fresh Cafe in Waterloo is one of my favourite spots in the area. Their desserts and coffee are amazing, and the lattes and cakes are especially good. Since it’s located in a university plaza, the atmosphere is surprisingly calm and quiet, which makes it a perfect place to get some work done or just hang out with friends. I absolutely love this place. It has such a comfortable vibe, great treats, and consistently good coffee. Highly recommend stopping by.

I’ve been coming to this café for about two years and have always enjoyed the coffee, but during my recent visit, I had an unpleasant experience. I ordered a coffee and it was stronger than usual. When I asked for it to be remade, the server who prepared it the second time — a man who always wears a mask — seemed quite rude and dismissive. He simply placed the cup on the table without saying anything and walked away, which felt unprofessional and unwelcoming.
I actually had a similar experience here once before, but I chose to let it go. However, since it has happened again, I feel it’s important to address it. Customer service plays a major role in the overall experience, and honest feedback shouldn’t be taken negatively. A little communication and courtesy can make a big difference. I hope this can be improved moving forward, as I do like this place and want to continue coming back.

It’s alright! Came for breakfast. Food wasn’t amazing, but it is okay.

Edit: Came back again to give the place a second chance.

I think it’s better to get the bigger meals like the classic breakfast instead of the wraps as they are a bit more worth for money. Nothing special about the breakfast, just a simple meal, but it does the trick and is good.

I like Williams a lot! Most of the people comes here to study as it’s right beside the uni. But it has an affordable menu. My favourite is roasted bell pepper and tomato bisque and it’s o smooth and creamy and they top up with cheese which adds more flavour. I tried their chicken ceaser wrap which was average and the coffee was good too. I don’t know if it’s just me but I do have lot of wifi issues with them especially with my laptop but other than that it’s a good place.

Iced cappuccino filled with large chunks of ice that makes it impossible to flow through those small straws. Has happened before with smoothies etc so 3 stars until fixed.
Now fixed :)

This Williams is quite busy, but open late.
The food a Williams tastes great but it's the people you go to meet to there. Thanks for being open.

Very interesting gluten free Chicken Caesar wrap. Thought it would come on a GF Wrap but it was on GF bread.

The cafeteria restaurant also has art shows and I had the honor of participation.

I have been going to William’s cafe since the last 5 years! Their food is my favourite and even now, after 5 years, the food taste and quality is still the exact same! However, I can’t say the same for the service! I was still eating and chewing my food when the server literally took away my plate! She didn’t even let me respond to her question “can I clear away the plates?”. What was the rush? Why would she pick my table when I am still eating when there all those other tables to clear? It must have been just about 10 minutes since I started eating, so what was the rush?? Was there a deadline for me to finish my food?? Extremely annoying and disappointing!! She totally spoiled my evening! And didn’t look like it bothered her much! Is this how you behave with your customers? I don’t know her name but she wears glasses! Please train your servers to have the minimum courtesy of letting people finish their food! I will still continue to go to William’s cafe but never going back to this one!!

I’m really disappointed with the way they served my order today. I ordered a banana waffle for takeout, and instead of packing it properly, they put the ice cream and banana in the same box and even added whipped cream on top of the ice cream. Everything melted and turned into a mess by the time I got home.

I’ve ordered this same item several times before and never had such a bad experience. The staff member wearing a mask today seemed careless and overly smart instead of being attentive.

If customers are paying for the food, the least that can be expected is proper service and packaging. Definitely won’t be visiting again.
