We switched from another brand to your coffee and espresso. The difference was immediate. Customers never asked for a refill. Now they wanted one. Highly recommend!
The coffee here is excellent, and the chocolate cake is genuinely one of the best I’ve had. I really enjoy the quality of the food and drinks, and it keeps me coming back.
However, I’ve sometimes found the service to feel a bit unwelcoming, which affects the overall experience for me. It can make visits less comfortable at times.
Overall, I do appreciate what they offer, and I hope the customer experience becomes as consistently positive as the food and coffee.
The best coffee around - hands down! And Miriam is the very best barista!
Best coffee in York Region and wonderful service.
Amazing coffee and service
I came here every couple weeks to restock the fresh beans. I got decaf espresso for our afternoon treats and different kinds of single origin for hand pour. Very nice shop and is so close to home. The owner is very friendly and always has a lovely smile 😁.
Amazing coffee and very friendly and skilled barista! Strongly recommend
Great coffee , great people !
Amazing coffee!!!!
The best coffee we ever tried. We used to live in Stouffville for 12 years and after many tries to buy a coffee literally everywhere Velvet Sunrise became our only choice. And even after we moved to Atlantic Canada we're still with you :) Thank you!

I would give the Ethiopian a pass. Perhaps if I used a quarter cup of coffee per cup of water It wouldn't resemble dishwater
Good coffee, friendly staff. I Didn't have any food so couldnt rate it.
A true gem in Stoufville. Smooth espresso based drinks and amazing staff. On my last visit I had a properly frothy and milky cappuccino with honey from talented barista Miriam. Bought some Guatemalan beans which I'm excited to try at home. Check them out, without a doubt!
I spend half my salary on these coffee beans. The steam punk expresso is incredible. The selection and quality is way better than anything in the grocery store, obviously.
Didn’t get to pick the beans for my drink but it was pretty good. Wasn’t acidic like a lot of the other roasters and was happy to hear that they are stocked at the Village Grocery and also available at their cafe as it was a bit of a distance to travel.
Services was good and prices are also reasonable.
