I recently tried the rabdi milkshake and rose milkshake at Paan Banaras & Cafe, they are good but unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. Both drinks were overwhelmingly too sweet I do not like too much sugars to the point where it was hard to enjoy the actual flavors. Instead of a balanced taste, the excessive sugar completely overpowered everything, making each sip unpleasant.
The service was another major issue. Despite the restaurant being open at the time, I had to wait around 15 minutes just to be served. There was no clear communication either—someone casually mentioned that the staff member who prepares the juice had stepped out and would return “in a while,” (10 minutes) which added to the frustration.
Additionally, the environment didn’t feel kid-friendly at all. There were multiple people smoking right outside on the pedestrian lane, which made the overall atmosphere uncomfortable, especially for families. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations in terms of taste, service, or ambiance.

The service was attentive without being intrusive, and every member of the team seemed genuinely passionate about ensuring guests had a wonderful meal. The food was the true highlight—beautifully presented, bursting with flavor, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Every dish I tried was perfectly seasoned and expertly prepared. The menu offers a great balance of creative options and comforting favorites, and everything tasted fresh and authentic. The overall atmosphere was relaxed yet refined, perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. I left feeling completely satisfied and already excited to return. Highly recommended—

I’ve been to Paan Banaras & Cafe a couple of times now, and every visit has been a great experience! Their Sweet Paan is a must-try — a traditional Indian betel leaf dessert packed with refreshing flavors and a perfect balance of sweetness. I also really enjoyed their Kashmiri Pink Chai, beautifully made with the right touch of sweetness and nuts, along with the Rose Falooda and other treats on the menu.
It’s a cozy spot right in the heart of Windsor, perfect to hang out with friends and enjoy authentic paan and unique desserts. Definitely one of the best paan cafés in the city — highly recommended!
