Ordered some pancit from Bongga Kusina via Doordash when craving some Filipino comfort food and was pleasantly surprised by how tasty the noodles were. A lot of restaurants tend to make Filipino food more bland than relatives' home cooking, but their pancit tasted quite similar to how one of my aunts makes it. We ordered the bangus belly and halo halo. The bangus belly was perfectly balanced and the exact flavors you'd expect or want from Filipino food. My Filipino boyfriend said it reminded him of his childhood breakfasts at home. The halo halo was the best I've ever tasted. The food at Bongga Kusina is absolutely delicious! We enjoyed ordering the crispy fried lumpia, savory chicken adobo with fried garlic, kutsinta with fresh grated coconut, and halo-halo. Truly authentic Filipino cuisine, and the halo-halo is especially perfect on a hot day! The staff is very friendly, and everything was cooked just right.
