When I asked my cheerful waitress what her fav item in the place is, she immediately suggested the Brisket Dip Sandwich (with a GF bun of course) it comes with a GF gravy for dipping. It was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had! We'll be back next time in Ashland. 😎

This place is way underrated. I had some amazing food and the service was perfect. I also like the little, tavern almost, feel to the place. I got the popcorn chicken Nashville style and the ranch they serve it with is now our favorite ranch anywhere. They chicken sandwich is huge and I love the homemade pickles they serve with it. Coming from the south I haven't found any good baked beans or collard greens I like, but this place absolutely delivered when it came to both of those. So much flavor and very unique. I will absolutely going back to try everything on the menu. The food is kind of expensive for what you get, but where else can you find this quality of food.

Great gluten free options. Staff are very considerate about good allergies. The chicken is very crispy, maybe avoid the gluten free mac and cheese, gf pasta tends to lose texture if it isn't brown rice pasta. Otherwise it's a great time with great drinks and food!

Swung through Ashland on my way from Seattle to the Bay Area, chose this place because it sounded right up my alley, and it was! Caitlin was serving the whole room and tending bar, and she kicked ass! Would recommend!

INCREDIBLE food!!! Amazing service and gluten free. My husband has celiac and he eats here all the time with no concern for cross contamination. We absolutely love eating here. The chicken is AMAZING.

Ended up paying $70 for over cooked chicken, soggy bland mac and cheese and a burger that instantly made me sick. (Started puking in the parking lot by the restaurant not 5 minutes after forcing it down) Burger tasted old. Best thing was the bottled Coors banquet which was flat. Went back in for a refund being as how everything we ordered was gross and made me sick and the waitress was rude and did not handle anything professionally. Did not get a refund. Will not go back and will spread the word about this place. Not happy and very disappointed in every way possible. Some local friends from sou told me they had very similar experiences and never went back. A health inspector needs to investigate this as this is clearly not the first time this has happened.

I visited bird & rye with my family on Father's Day Sunday night around 7:30 PM and was deeply disappointed by the customer service. Our waitress was noticeably attentive to other tables, frequently checking on them and engaging warmly, but completely neglected us. We had to raise our hands multiple times to get her attention, and she never once checked on us during the meal. When it came time to pay, we had to get up and approach the counter ourselves, as she didn’t offer a to-go box or any assistance until we initiated it.
The stark difference in her tone and attentiveness toward other customers compared to us was glaring. As the only non-white patrons in the restaurant at the time, it’s hard not to feel that her behavior was discriminatory. The food was decent, but the blatantly poor and unequal treatment ruined the experience. I won’t be returning and would caution others about the potential for biased service.

Quite a small place close to the theaters. Off the main street. Noisy but fun. Great cocktails, good interesting foods. The girl was working alone and she did a great job, running the whole time.

Food was great! Guy in the back was killing it. The Bartender Jesse was great . Will be coming back

Excellent food - everything we ordered was delicious, though I’d particularly recommend the duck reuben. Server was friendly and prompt, and they were very kid-friendly, with legos and other toys for kids to borrow.

Recently relocated from the Midwest and had been missing good fried chicken, which appears not to be popular out here. Trying three restaurants so far, I had net found any. After trying the fried chicken at bird and rye, I still haven’t. The chicken lacked flavor, had paper thin breading and although I do not know their method of cooking, it wasn’t fried in an iron skillet. Another strike, the mashed potatoes were instant, not real. Disappointed again!
