We had lunch here. We're from out of town. We think this restaurant should have a 4.6 rating at the LEAST in terms of flavor, warmth and cleanliness.

I recently posted as a review of HIRO RAMEN by mistake, it was meant for different Ashland restaurant.
As for HIRO RAMEN,
I noticed this restaurant is a very popular place for locals.
Customer demos spread across the board: old, young, families, dating couples, etc.
HIRO RAMEN deserves 5 stars as a local eatery for its food, service and ambiance. Its a great neighborhood place, simple, comfortable, straight forward design, attentive, courteous service. I have eaten here twice and will surely visit next time in Ashland. Solid concept and great management.
Apologies for not remembering our servers' names, both gave great service and were very helpful when sharing local knowledge about Ashland.

I avoid restaurants usually as I have numerous allergies and I genuinely hate to be a burden. Went with a friend who was excited for me because they have gluten free noodles. Once I ordered I was informed that the broth was made with soy sauce that contains wheat. What's the point of having GF noodles if you don't have that option for broth? Not a big deal, I was hungry so I ordered rice and plain steamed vegetables. The kid waiting on us said they used sesame oil on the veggies. I asked if he could leave that off. Was told ok. The food arrived for my girlfriend and our friend and nothing for me. The kid told me I shouldn't have come into an Asian restaurant if I was allergic to sesame and they would not provide me with rice and plain steamed vegetables. I'm fairly certain that line was fed to him by the owner who was back in the kitchen. Great way to run your business dude.

BEST EGG EVER!! YUMYUMYUMYUM YUMMY!!! WILL BE BACK! 5 STARS!
Amazing! We had the Shoyu Ramen, Mission Ramen, and Gyoza — all were delicious. The service was also warm and welcoming.
Can’t dine in 30 min before closing, yet there were multiple couples eating inside. Might as well close 30 minutes and loose business because they’re too lazy to wash an extra plate.

One of the best places to get ramen in Southern Oregon. The atmosphere, staff, and food are all amazing. Highly recommend.
Incredible food!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Friendly staff, top notch experience all the way around. Can’t get enough!
A hole in the wall, but without the broth to back it up. Every good ramen place is graded by the strength of their broth, and not necessarily the decor or atmosphere. All you care about are intense, rich flavors drawn out of the pork bones with a jab of salty/umami greatness right in the jaw. This place didn’t make the cut. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen with pork. The noodles were good and the slice of pork was tasty, albeit briefly (small portion). The broth unfortunately was watery, bland, generically creamy, and not well-seasoned.
The menu had plenty of Korean options. The galbi appetizer was the highlight of the meal. The seared rib meat was deliciously caramelized, gingery, and hot, right off the grill.
Overall I am not excited to go back because, like I said, if you want to be a hole in the wall, the food needs to be a slam dunk. I’m appreciative to have this option locally, but it didn’t knock my socks off.
So delicious, my burps taste good…
never thought I’d say that.
Kinda disappointed in the Potion of chicken in my ramen dish. About the size of a silver dollar.
