We've been here in Ashland for ten years and never checked out Kobe. It was a mistake. We were very pleased with the experience we had last week: The food was fresh, top notch and thoughtfully presented, service was spot on and the ambiance friendly, quiet, and relaxed. The experience lifted our mood, which is what this is all about.
We love this place! They accommodated our unexpected extra guest (we'd made a reservation for 4 but another person joined us. A 5th chair at the end of a table for 4 near the back door worked beautifully without the 5th person feeling left out of the conversation). We ordered one special crudo plate and 4 rolls in addition to the delicious shrimp/veggie tempura. Our hands-down favorite was the salmon tempura roll - although all were great. We are locals and never get tired...
