If you're visiting Ashland downtown area, this is a laid back ambiance place to grab a bite. There's indoor and outdoor seating, overlooking Lithia Park and the creek. We got the salad (thick, crunchy bacon), fish and chips, avocado toast, and quinoa bowl — decent portions. We passed this place on a Monday and the entire downtown was quiet with few people. We decided to come eat on a Wednesday night and it was busy. The food took about 10 min, not very long for the wait. If you like the music juke box playing, laid back scenery, this is a decent spot to grab a bite if you're here for a visit.

This is the 5th time we have been for lunch at Skout and the 5th time we came out very disappointed with the food and service. It took forever to get our order. My husbands salad was just a plate of lettuce,not even one tomatoe! I ordered the grilled cheese and was astounded to see that there was only ONE slice of cheese on the sandwich! I enjoyed the jam on the sandwich but to spend $17 for jam and bread is a bit much. So it's sad that we can't bring guests there as it is a lovely spot in town. Maybe the owners can start not being so cheap on their ingredients of each meal. It was so nice when it was Sesame. You always got plenty of food! Same owners so what gives!

One of my favorite local spots to sit with a drink at the fire pits and watch the locals and tourists gather or go by! Right by the river, Lithia Park, and has indoor or outdoor seating. The tacos were pretty good, but a buttered rum on a chilly day sure hits the spot!

Ordered the smash burger with fries, I can’t believe I just paid $16 for that burger, meat over cooked and bun was hard and dry, my 10oz beer $6.50 so nearly dropped $28 with modest tip. I have had tacos in the past, stick to them, they’re great! Great casual atmosphere!

If you like waiting over an hour for food that the said it would be a half hour wait- this is the place for you. To wait. Forever. This place needs to get its kitchen service together, we could see how slow food was coming out. Didn’t think it would be over an hour for tacos and fish & chips. At least be up front if the food isn’t going to make it out for lunch, let me know it will be dinner by the time it comes out.

When you order food you expect to know when it will be to the table if there is a long wait time. Enjoyed the atmosphere in the beginning and the drinks. Took over an hour in a half to get our food. Never will I come again!!!!

My son recommended this Taphouse while we were traveling through the area. It was a wonderful find. I thoroughly enjoyed the American Brown Ale, Comfy Womfy, brewed by Backwoods Brewing Co. We also shared a large pretzel with three dipping sauces and some sauerkraut. Great taphouse, I will come back and would highly recommend it.
