I had the Chicken Curry pie with sides of mint peas & pickled vegies [ sides are extra ]. Everything was very good. Although I feel the pies are one or two dollars too high for the size. The cost of per piece of fried chicken seems a little high. Some nites they have karaoke which sounds fun.
Full disclosure: I visit this place almost every week after an afternoon run. It's a habit I got into for a few reasons. They are close to my house; they serve hard cider on tap; and the pub pies are truly magnificent. I've been to my share of British and Irish bars, and like any type of food, the quality has varied from place to place. To be fair, the only thing I ever order from Smithfields is the pie. But here's the thing - it is unparalleled. Truly. The crusts are homemade, the fillings are delicious, the flavors are creative and the menu changes from time to time. So by any measure appropriate to a pub that serves pies, they are at the top of the game, every time. ORDER THE PIE.
Always good! Love their vegetarian pie!
We enjoyed our supper. Lighter food, burgers, sandwiches, English meat pies and chicken. A good beer list including local drafts and bottled beers, wines and cocktails. A nice intimate atmosphere with brick and rows of tables. Recommended!
Great selection of beers, both local and from the UK. Menu was pretty authentic of what you'd find at a pub in the UK, and possibly more so since everything is made from scratch. Place also allows kids till 9 pm and they were super kid friendly with coloring books and toys.
Small, casual pub style dining with really good food. Stopped in for lunch with a few friends and each got something different. One had their version of a burger and it was delicious and cooked perfectly.
Bloody brilliant! Best pies this side of the Atlantic and comparable to Pieminister in Bristol, UK. The British fare really stands out among Ashland's other restaurants. The inside is small and comfortable and place really has atmosphere. Solid tap list of Oregon beers as well as some UK favorites.Highly recommend the Sweet potato, spinach, red onion, goats cheese pie. Would go back here anytime I was within 30 miles.
One of Ashland best eateries. What a gem! Excellent wedge salad! 👌👌
Not much for the Celiac sufferer. Good salads through
Everytime I come home to Ashland, I'm depressed that everything seems to have turned into a soulless sports bar, but this place bucks the trend. Original, unique, memorable, and flavorful. It has a few variations on the concept, but still has some more traditional pies if you want. Would definitely go again.

Always friendly service, great food and atmosphere.
Friendly staffs, good food, and it's apparently the only Timbers supporters and Hammers supporters bar in town.
A real hidden gem! Being from Australia, naturally my husband and I are willing to try any British pub we come across. Their pies were amazing, especially the steak and mushroom (I had massive food envy, having ordered the cottage pie). The pastry on the steak pie was flaky, buttery and moist, just perfect. Unfortunately they were out of the sausage rolls and scotch eggs, otherwise we would have tried those too. A good selection of beers (including Guiness of course), British condiments such as HP sauce and a few cocktails. I wish they had more British food instead of offering fried chicken and American biscuit burgers. We had fun playing trivial pursuit while we waited. They lose a point for the long wait (about 50 minutes), even though they were not busy.
Oh my are the pies here yummy. All made from scratch. I just wish they were bigger so I could eat more.
Great place to have a pot pie ! They also have fantastic salads and good portion sizes, with reasonable prices. The staff for the most part is great, and recommendations haven't led us wrong. My favorite pie is a tie between the steak and the chicken curry... Neither will leave you disappointed. The cod fish fingers and steak fries are also on point. They have Guinness on nitro, a rare find, and the shamrock on top sealed the deal. If Guinness isn't your thing, the plethora of local beers on rotation will surely satisfy!
