A little escape to Brazil right here in Ashland. The little dining area was so cozy with additional outdoor bistro tables perfect for families and furry kids. We were gluttonous with our order: pistachio brownie, two types of quiche, pao de queijo roll, pao de queijo focaccia- 2 types, mocha doce de leite, and Brazilian carrot cupcake. Each bite was savored. The entire time we ate there was a line to order, I can see why this place was such a hit. Icing on the cake was the coffee was delicious.

Gayle and I have a soft spot for yummy baked goods, and as these sort of places have come and gone in Ashland over the years, we were pleased to enjoy our visit to VIDA Baking. It's Brazilian and with gluten free goodies that you would never guess. Cookies and Scones are the favorites and our only regrets were not stopping by more often and maybe taking a sweet loaf of something home. Counter service was fast and friendly, with a casual and welcoming ambiance.

A lot of gluten-free baked goods have the texture of sawdust and the weight of a brick. Vida's baked goods are so light, moist and delicious you won't know they're gluten-free!

There is nothing but good things to say about Vida! This Brazilian bakery is a must-stop for a weekend sweet treat. Vida is an entirely gluten free bakery!! In small towns like Ashland, it is a luxury to have a bakery this delicious where the entire menu is gluten free. My favorite things to order are the coconut gem or one of their scones. This bakery never misses and changes flavors quite regularly. As for drinks, their chai latte is amazing. Even better if it is iced and you sit out on the patio taking in the views. Vida can get relatively busy for such a small space, so plan ahead. There is a big free parking lot right across the street. The service is fast and friendly. The girls at the counter are always quick to give you a smile. Vida is top of the list for bakeries in Ashland!

Cute little bakery in the middle of downtown Ashland. All gluten free options: cheese bread, quiches, brownies, muffins, and cookies. Coffee is also good and served in tin cups.

First time I visited the Vida bakery due to having received a generous gift card, & ordered a pulled pork sandwich to take home for my son. (I'm a vegetarian so have never seen nor ordered such a sandwich before.) Vida Baking Company is a pleasant little place & there were a couple & a trio enjoying lunch there when i entered. Many these days are gluten intolerant so it's nice this cafe exists for them & I did like the easygoing intimate vibe in there. They also have a nice-looking array of baked goods for sale. So, after having received the wrapped sandwich, it felt like just a half sandwich, but they said all their sandwiches are that size. When i got home, my son unwrapped the sandwich - he did take a bite but didn't like it. It was a spread on top of a single piece of bread, but unfortunately they'd burnt it also. (I'd paid & tipped before it was cooked, & it was To-Go, so I had received it wrapped.) Please click on the photo below to see the whole picture. Probably everything else at Vida Baking Co. is great, but it's important to know that the sandwiches are snack sized - and, with just one english muffin sized piece of bread with a topping, they actually don't fit the definition of a "sandwich." ("Sandwich" means a filling fitted between two pieces of bread, or, for example, a person could be "sandwiched" between two people when standing in a crowd, but they can't be "sandwiched" by just one person.) I'm editing my previous review now to give preponderance to the positives: It's nice the gluten-free bakery is next to Ruby's, so those who are gluten intolerant can buy something at Vida Baking Co. & join their friends at Ruby's, or vice versa. There are numerous gluten-free items on their menu, & the other reviews here on this site can help guide people toward tasty choices. Btw: an acquaintance was happy to receive the remainder of my gift card for her daughter, an SOU student who is gluten-intolerant :-)

Go anywhere else for your loved ones birthday cake! Your 5 year old would do a better job! My husband called a week in advance to order a cake for my birthday and because I have dietary restrictions we chose this bakery since they stated they could give us a dairy free cake. I don’t know how the cake tasted but if you look at the pictures below you can see the type of service and quality they deliver. When I called and expressed how disappointed I was on how the cake looked noting the big crack in the center, they said that this was their STANDARD layered cake and they didn’t understand what was wrong. We took the cake back and demanded a refund. No one would want that cake for their birthday.

You know a place is quality when they have healthy plants! Very authentic cafe in trendy, downtown neighborhood. They made a custom GF, vegan -ish carrot cake for my friend’s bday (HBD, Leslie!). Everything is gluten free, a few vegan items in stock. More available by request, very allergy friendly. ?? Don’t be in a hurry, it took them 30 minutes to heat up my order (They gave it to someone else.). I was late for my next appointment. ?UPDATE- The vegan carrot cake is so good no one complained about it being gluten free! Everything was perfect: color, texture, flavor and presentation. You made my friend’s surprise party a success, thank you. ✨ We liked it so much, I got the same for my bday! I don’t even like carrot cake. LOL The biggest compliment? My picky husband said, “This is so moist, gluten free is never like this.” ?

Being a complete gluten free bakery, I thought it had possibilities to explore. Arrived around 12 and much of their bakery items were sold out. We chose their pesto sandwich on baguette, tho it was quite small to share the flavor was delicious It was worth taking time to enjoy every bite Definitely worth driving down from Central Point Next time I will arrive earlier and try out their sweet offerings

Lovely shop. Welcoming atmosphere. Delicious latte, cheese balls and cupcake. I will be back.

Cute little place. It was nice finding a dedicated gluten free kitchen. The baked goods were good, I had to get a variety of cheese rolls, bagels and cinnamon rolls. My only drawback is the dry crunchy outer layer. Luckily the inside was super yum. Thank you!!

We were excited to find a gluten free bakery on our way up to WA since one of our kids has Celiac. True hole in the wall vibes. Prices are a bit high for the modest portions. Service was very slow. We waited a half hour for our three sandwiches and a waffle. Food was pretty tasty.
