Took my son who has celiac disease to Vida so that he could have breakfast and get some goodies without having to worry about cross-contamination. He and I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast, the staff is incredibly friendly and very helpful and explaining their menu, I would 100% recommend Vida baking to anyone, even if you don’t have a gluten allergy or celiac disease.
I can't imagine Ashland without Vida at this point. Delicious food (and drinks), welcoming atmosphere and staff. They have fantastic live music, especially on First Friday, when honestly, Vida feels like the center of the universe, with a lively crowd that pours out onto the street in the best way. Definitely worth checking out, whether you are gluten-free or not!
This place is one of my very finds in Ashland. Everything is fresh, delicious, and wonderful. The staff is extremely friendly and the owner (I think he’s the owner?) has the best old timey mustache 😁. I’m looking forward to going back this summer.

Based on the reviews, Vida Baking offers excellent service and food. The restaurant is a dedicated gluten-free (gf) bakery and cafe, with many options for those with food allergies and celiac disease. The food is fresh and delicious. Specific meals mentioned include the gluten and dairy free Brazil nut waffle covered with fruit and topped with coconut cream, which was light and fluffy. The quiche, such as the gorgonzola and caramelized onion, is the best one customer has had in years, and comes with a green salad. The Vida Cuban sandwich had layers of flavor with pork, ham, mustard, and pickles. Customers also loved the bagels and poppyseed muffins. The environment is casual, pleasant, and has a great atmosphere. The staff is very nice, caring, and provides exceptional service. There is also a gluten free beer on the menu.
