Classic. Lots of toppings available and the custard is delicious. It is right on a busy street and there are some picnic tables but on a hot day it's very hot and can be unpleasant because of all the traffic. But it's a great place to stop for some classic treats.

Custard King is a nostalgic little gem that totally hit the spot on our visit. I picked up small swirl cups with hot fudge for my kids and they absolutely loved them — creamy, rich, and just the right size for a sweet treat. The swirl was classic and smooth, and the hot fudge was perfectly gooey without being too much. Service was quick and friendly, and there’s a fun, old-school vibe that makes the whole experience feel special. Great stop for a low-key dessert that doesn’t disappoint.

Just like Dairy Queen but better! They've got chocolate, vanilla, and swirl frozen custard available with all kinds of toppings to choose from. Both cups and cones are available, and milkshakes too! Plus burgers and fish & chips.

This was my first time. Driven by the place for years but never stopped. Always seems busy so I assumed the food was good. Ordered the bacon cheeseburger for 15.50 which came with fries and fry sauce. The fries were hot and delicious and not greasy. The burger was large with fresh veggies decent-sized Patty but no sauce whatsoever. They had ketchup and mustard packets available at the counter. Menu said it came with sweet relish which it did not. It did come with sliced dill pickle of which I asked for extra but if you call five slices extra I would debate it. Overall the hamburger was tasty but a little greasy because they do brown the bun with butter I'm assuming. The vanilla custard Shake was delicious. Not so sure I will be returning anytime soon but I might go back and try something else on the menu. Outdoor covered seating was clean and comfortable if you don't mind the noisy traffic going by since it's right on the corner. Staff was friendly.

The big girl serving out the custard yesterday should have just stayed home w/ her ugly attitude, and blatant desire to not want to work. Heck I had fast food jobs when I was younger, I get that it can suck but there’s no excuse for her sloppy and unhygienic work ethics. I’ve come here in the past when they would fill the cup with ample custard but she’d barely fill the plastic cup half way if you ordered a small, with a large she’d provide custard the size of a Yoplait yogurt for comparison.
At one point right after putting the topping on, she spills the entire cup on the floor, gets visibly frustrated and goes on re-making a sloppier second cup w/ half melted custard and her finger touches the custard this time but she just hands it off to the customer like nothing happened. Honestly that’s super filthy and the biggest reason that compelled me to leave this review.
Luckily her fingers didn’t touch my custard but I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s the type of person that would spit in a customer’s meal because she’s the one having a bad day. Even when asking her for a second spoon and saying ‘thank you’ to her, she didn’t mutter a word, stared, and acted like I was interrupting her. I don’t get people who act like this but unless things change, I would not recommend this business, as it lacks consistency & hygiene at the hands of certain employees.

The lady taking the order was great, super friendly, but the girl making the ice-cream and bringing the food out was clearly unhappy to ever customer. In addition no gloves are being worn and I watched one young man grab food wipe his clothes and grab another handful. My entire family separately noticed how rude the girl serving us was and at the end of the day making us and others feel like we shouldn't be there.
