Mulan Garden Restaurant | Chinese is a Chinese restaurant right in downtown. The food was better than expected, with delicious pork chow mein/hard noodles, sweet sour chicken, fried shrimp, and a side order of orange chicken. The kung pao chicken sauce is a standout, with peanuts and zucchini, and the fried shrimp had a crunch that was on point. The egg drop soup was probably the best, and the Fortune cookie actually tasted good. However, some items were hit and miss: the fried rice was just rice and meat with no egg or vegetables, the BBQ pork looked old and like jerky, and the egg roll had way too much breading. The Mapo Dofu wasn't Mapo Dofu, but more like a Vegetarian Moo Goo Gai Pan. Service is always fantastic, quick, and friendly, with a polite and attentive young man serving. The restaurant is very clean, and the prices are great for the amount of food. Customers will be coming back again.
